Healing is Voltage: The Handbook

Rate this book
Every cell in the body is designed to run at -20 to -25 millivolts. To heal, we must make new cells. To make a new cell requires -50 millivolts. Chronic disease occurs when voltage drops below -20 and/or you cannot achieve -50 millivolts to make new cells. Thus chronic disease is always defined by having low voltage. This book tells you how to measure your voltage in each organ, how to correct it, and how to determine why your voltage dropped enough to allow you to get sick.

Anew paradigm for healing. Kudos to Jerry Tennant. Very well researched and explodes many truths as really myths or without foundation. A call for a return to pure science, not statistics. Don't just treat the symptom, treat the underlying cause of disease

Although the book was very interesting, there was not much for the average person to take away, other than the thyroid is a big factor in creating voltage in the body. If you bought the Tennant biomodulator at $2,750, then the information might be more usable. Nevertheless, it is important to know that in order for new cells to be made you must have a voltage of 50 millivolts. If you are low on voltage, you are declining rather than rebuilding. He does suggest some practical ways to increase energy/voltage such as sunshine, and walking in the grass.

There is a lot of good information in this book, but it is presented in such a boring way and the average person will get lost in the minutia of the chemistry and data behind all of the information. He begins by being defensive about his writing, which brings a negative start to the read. He also starts with explaining how the medical system in the US is a business trying to suck money out of us. But then throughout the book he tells us about all of the things we can buy FROM HIM to help us be more healthy. Then he scares us about how almost everything we live in and consume can give us cancer. Take the information with a grain of salt and patience. Again, there is some good stuff in here, but you have to wade through a lot to get it. I wish there were cliffs notes! Ultimately, people should know to eat unprocessed whole foods, stay away from chemicals and medicines if possible, exercise, and listen to their bodies.

This is one confused book. It feels like three books mixed together (not just put together, but actually randomly mixed). On one hand there are many interesting and really remarkable ideas, on the other it desperately needs good editing to put those ideas in proper order and shape, which looks like it has been made by a schoolboy.

Part 2. We need a New Medical Paradigm

“Our western medical paradigm assumes that when an organ fails to perform adequately, it can only be corrected by finding a chemical (drug) to make it work or to remove it surgically. As we will discuss, the western medical paradigm is based in chemistry and on Newtonian concepts.

An often overlooked truth is that we tend to get well by making new cells, not by correcting those that are malfunctioning. We replace the rods and cones in our retina every forty-eight hours. The lining of our intestines is replaced every three days. We replace our skin every six weeks, our liver every eight weeks, our nervous system every eight months, and our bones every year. This brings nutrition into a clearer focus. If we are going to make good cells, we must have good raw materials to make them. In addition, we must not be missing necessary components.” - Pag. 33

- Pag. 33

Astounding!

As I started to learn more about healing frequencies, this book came up again and again as a suggested read. I didn't actually read it until I'd heard the author speak at a recent medical conference though. It blew me away--not least because a prayer of mine for some time had been to understand the connection between physics and biochemistry. I knew there *was* one, but had no idea how to begin researching the question, since it was such a big picture concept, and that's not how our Western minds tend to think. We usually compartmentalize subjects such that they are more easily digestible.

This book is a big part of the answer. Many other books I'd read recently had discussed the concept of healing frequencies, and the vital force as they pertain to Eastern healing modalities, but not until I read this book did I come to think of all if those concepts as voltage: literally, the flow of electrons. That changed everything... particularly when applied to ideas mentioned here but also in many other works I've read recently as well, regarding how acupuncture meridians are literal semiconductors, particularly when hydrated (with water in its liquid crystal form, as Gerald Pollack wrote about in "The Fourth Phase of Water.") It's a circuit.

I definitely didn't agree with everything the author argues past this point, though. I'm still quite a skeptic on the concept of chakras (though I am open to being convinced, if it can be proven that there is a physical explanation for them, as it now turns out there is for acupuncture meridians). I didn't follow his proprietary approach to re-establishing charge via the biomodulators he sells for thousands of dollars, and indeed, there were a few too many proprietary offerings sprinkled throughout the book(s) for my taste. Even so, I could overlook that for the core idea, which was pure gold.

The information is invaluable for preventing and treating cancer and it goes hand in hand with information found in The Body Electric. At times though it is difficult to follow the authors thoughts and the editing is horrible.

A contrasting perspective to the traditional view of chronic disease. Draws parallels between ancient medicine and the current paradigm. Very quick read. The second half of the book is only useful for practitioners.

I think 2 stars may be generous on this one. While there is some good information in this book, (at least I think there is), the author makes some statements that are untrue and some statements that are total nonsense. Much of the "data" he pulls from is quite old and outdated.
