What an incredibly essential and timely book for leaders and businesses all over the world! This book has a finger on the pulse of a big shift taking place in the business world and also in many other workplaces and contexts. Those at every level of an organization would benefit from reading this book to gain more knowledge and awareness of how important this shift is in focusing on workplace culture. I loved how this book shows that functioning with the previous models and ways of doing things, or focusing solely on numbers or outcomes while having a culture that is counterproductive and outdated, will not be effective.

One thing I found helpful about this book is that it is clear the author has worked with several large companies and organizations and has firsthand knowledge and experience. I appreciate that he writes with honesty and gives real examples to help any reader see what he is talking about.

This book truly is essential for anyone who wants their business or workplace to grow and thrive because it's message is not only accurate but helpful in how to either get started or keep going with creating a better culture where you are. Anyone in a leadership role or position would be wise to read this book and even use it for group settings in their circles or companies. Don't hesitate, get this book today!

Matt Mayberry explains the definition of a corporate culture, empathize the importance of it, steps and process to create the culture, techniques to reinforce (including getting senior leaders to buy in, the right attitude and persistence of implementing it, and passion to empower people), and typical problems faced.

People are eventually the most important asset of the company. There are examples and ideas that are inspiring. Like the author said, it needs to be put into practical actions instead of just reading through lines. Otherwise it could be a bit theoretical.

This was a really good book for leaders, especially as they begin to think about establishing their culture intentionally. It provides a nice playbook for moving your organization ahead. Several key leadership principles are throughout the book. My criticism would be that it seemed to meander a bit at times, but overall there is great value within the book....

Really struggled with this book. The first 30 pages and pages 180-240 were fine, but struggled with the rest, didn’t find it engaging. The main principles could have been done in 50 pages or less. Would have liked detailed examples, rather than skating over things. There are a lot better culture books out there (Culture Code for one).

I have been on my leadership books kick with the new job and I liked this one a lot. It was one of the most practical ones I have read in a while and will be referring back to it. Even bought a copy for a coworker!

It was a struggle to read from start to finish, and I had to skip several pages. Didn’t get anything useful.
