Review: In this story we follow The Hunter, who has no past, but famous for his treasure hunting for right price and there's no one like him in India at that time. He's also famous for his magical sword, as there is a rumor that the sword forged in Hell.
The book starts with him being capture by the Mughal King, Nasir-ud-Din Muhammad Shah, and he sent "The Hunter" to find "Kanika Dwar" by threatening him with the life of his friend, Rehan and friend's son. So The Hunter after convincing the King goes on to the heist with Rehan. But there's also so much more going on behind.
I enjoy the story so much from the thrilling adventurous aspect to the history sets up mention in the story, also the Hunter's other secret side and how beautifully the author mix everything together is commendable.
The story is short, only 220 pages, but gripping, intriguing, full of mysteries and very fast paced.
Only one thing that very much bother me is describing Himalayas as "Him mountain", it's silly, but it does bother me and I mark every time that mention.
But overall a very good historical fantasy fiction story that I would definitely recommend, while I will wait for the second book.

"Whatever it is, wherever it is, He will find it", but who is the "REAL HE", is the master stroke question? The book starts with the rich ancient tapestry of Bharat, existing as one of the most ancient civilizations still breathing, and surviving. It interacts about the foundation, rise, zenith of power, slow decline, and fall of the Mogul Empire by the first half of the 18th CE, how the Britishers ruled the ambit of the nation with their policy of divide and rule, the collision between the Sikhs & the Moguls, and the rich Zamindars who were bestowed with arms, and titles, in return of their land produce, and their taste of acquiring rare antiquities, paying lavishly for them. It is now that "The Hunter", the unknown mysterious spirit with his inseparable sword, insatiable lust for gold, a hero or a villain not yet known comes into frame. His character is shrouded in mystery, but he is acknowledged as the 'Hunter' for his invincible skill of finding antiquities, and rare objects that no one could dare find. His mysterious magical sword with intricate craftsmanship can cut through anything, any metal. With the weakened Mughal kingship, the Hunter is called upon at the Diwan-i-Khas (palace court) by the king. Here, the author takes a historical fictional narrative of the throne with the king's changed name, and certain details with the objective to form an interesting fictional story, and not collide fiction with non-fiction. As he successfully tries to sell a fake sword in the Mughal court, he is left startled to know that, the king is aware of the sword being a replica, and he was cleverly summoned for a mysterious unthinkable assignment by the king. The assignment is about finding a "Dwar", predominantly a myth, a major key of a mythological legend, and the hunter is said to have been in the quest of the same dwar before, getting closer to it than anyone else. I won't give spoilers but where will this quest of finding the unthinkable myth take the hunter? What is the famous legend that revolves around this Dwar? . Simultaneously, the author's narration describes the scenes of the Mughal and Sikh historical clashes during the era, and famous mythological lores with his own imagination in its vast sea of knowledge, and thrill. I have never witnessed such an incredible fusion of history and mythology while forming a storyline with it, without making it sound absurd. What would this quest reveal about the Hunter? Would he replenish any of his past memories while embarking on the task? Will the hunter accomplish the unthinkable? Has the king threatened him in any manner to embark on this deadly task, and if yes, then who is he fighting for? The fast-paced thriller takes you deep into the Hunter's journey, making his way through the toughest of situations, changing geographies and landscapes to complete his remarkable quest. Myriad characters like Rehan, Ali, The Widow, Dara, Zora etc join him in this quest, while they embark on various spine-chilling adventures, discovering various legends about the Romans, the way they hid the Indian mythological traces, their gods and art being depicted in a poignant manner by the author. These characters have their own storyline, pain, and revolutionary secrets, but the most interesting one of them is "The Widow", and why is she called so? How would the hunter use his tact to save himself in this blood- soaked adventurous quest? I love how meticulous details, various empires, rulers, civilizations and their journey are being depicted in such an interesting manner, while forming an enigmatic storyline with it. The first book ends with a cliffhanger leaving readers for the unveiling of the big secret, 'Would the lives that the hunter was vouching for be saved, or would it be the onset of a new misery?'.
This is Jasveer Singh Danghi's brilliant attempt to start a mythological adventure series. It was simply an astonishing journey, a highly captivating thriller adventure blended with history, fantasy, mythology, and action, it's a straight 5 star book.
I was reading it on a scorching summer day whilst struggling with my migraine, this book completely gauged my mind and made me compelled to read this breathlessly. The way Jasveer articulated mythology and adventure, it's superbly blended and created an amazing magical experience with sprinkles of Mughal-era lifestyle and history.
He meticulously crafted action sequences with punching dialogues. As the plot goes thicker story unfurled slowly and myst started pouring inside the page.
It's a riveting adventure plot that delves into an action-packed thriller vibe, a forgotten part of the epic Mahabharata against a historical background, friendship, and a lot of mystery.
With an engaging narrative, Jasveer started telling us a story about Hunter. Hunter is an antiquity collector and seller. No one knows his real identity or his name, even he is also in oblivion about himself. He lives deep down inside the jungle or wherever else nobody knows, he is a mysterious man. Delhi Sultan captured him and forced him to make a full demonstration about Kanika Dwar. Legends say Kanika Dwar is a myth, a mythological place. It belongs to the Mahabharata. People say, when the Mahabharata war ended, Pandavas created Kanika Dwar and kept their celestial powerful weapons in that Kanika Dwar. Kanika Dwar is settled in some other realms. Only Hunter knows the road to the mysterious Kanika Dwar. And in this adventure journey, Rehan and The Widow became his co-traveler.
Rehan is Hunter's friend. The Widow is a mysterious woman, everyone knows her and obeys her, and she always hides her face in a veil. This mystery-veiled woman is only befriended by Hunter.
Somehow Hunter got to find out the Kanika Dwar but what happened next?
It ended in a cliffhanger. It's only a beginning of a tremendously exciting adventure.
With a sprinkle of imagination, Jasveer skillfully waved his creativity. Throughout their journey lots of nail-biting moments author implicit. That creates an ambiance beautifully compelling. it's a very engaging page-turner with well-executed twists and action sequences. With Snow capped mountains and jungle, the author created the perfect atmosphere that engrossed me from the first to the last page. It will be enjoyed by readers who love fantasy and mythology, mystery is the icing on the cherry.
High-paced storytelling style perfect timing for action and drama gave me chills and thrills in every chapter. Every chapter is enveloped with the momentum of adrenaline run and nail-biting twists.
Can't wait to read part two because of the mystery. is still unveiled... Highly recommended to readers who love fantasy and mythology.

The Hunter -: whatever it is, wherever it is… the Hunter is destined to find it. The lines of the title really put a good impression on hunter and this was the reason I chose this book to read.
Well I like reading books from history , and when I came to know that this is from Mughal times I was really excited to read further. The story starts when Nasir-ud-din Muhammad captures the hunter to find something for him. The Hunter wasn't able to denied because Nasir ud din has kidnapped his friend with him. So here the story became so much interesting that I was delved into the book. But but but story doesn't comes to an end here there's more interesting things that happens with the hunter. The story has total nine chapters to read and it has total 222 pages which was a short read for me because the story is interesting so I finished it in 2 days.
Well according to me the most important and interesting chapter of the book was The Immortal, the way author has described and introduced Kanika Dwara is really fantastic. It seems like a dream place for me. The story brings more twist and turn at this place.
