Vassago, the Prince of Envy, has been trapped and bound for over fifty years. When he is released by Celeste, a grad student with high ambitions, his obsession becomes uncontrolable.
K. Elle Morrison lives outside Portland Oregon with her husband, children, and two cats. She is a podcaster, novice gardener, and avid watcher of tv shows and movies she’s seen a hundred times.
Celeste lived a life shrouded in shadows, a life dictated by the whims of a man who chipped away at her spirit piece by piece.
One night, while out with friends, Celeste stumbled upon an ancient ritual, a game, it claimed, to summon a spirit. It seemed harmless, a bit of harmless fun to break the monotony, never truly believing anything would happen.
But something did happen. The air grew heavy, the temperature plummeted, and a presence filled the room, a palpable energy that sent shivers down her spine. A demon, Vassago, ancient and powerful, had been unleashed.
Initially, Celeste was terrified. But as she felt Vass's power manifest, disrupting her abuser's carefully constructed facade of control, a flicker of hope ignited within her. With Vassago's subtle influence, Celeste started to see her situation with newfound clarity. And with that clarity came a surge of anger, a burning desire to reclaim her life.
Celeste emerged from the ashes of her past, not just as a survivor, but as a warrior. She had faced her demons, both literally and figuratively, and emerged victorious. She had reclaimed her power, not through magic or otherworldly intervention, but through her own courage and determination.
And yes, she came out the other side with a demon. But Vass was no longer just a summoned entity. He was her confidante, her protector, and perhaps, something more. Celeste had found her salvation in the most unexpected of places, proving that sometimes, the darkness can lead you to the light, and the demon within can be the key to unlocking your own strength.
This story is a testament to the resilience of the human spirit, a reminder that even in the darkest of circumstances, hope can be found, and strength can be discovered in the most unexpected of places. While it uses fantastical elements, the core message is about reclaiming power, breaking free from abuse, and finding your own inner strength.
Just a light stalker romance by a handsome Prince of Hell...until it becomes something more.
Fair warning, there are some Triggers in this one. ☑️Sexual Assault ☑️Abusive Relationship ☑️Stalking
Vassago has been trapped inside a planchette that was enclosed in a book that belonged to a priest for the past 50 years...until Celeste released him. Because Celeste freed him from his prison, he views Celeste as some devine "Gift" to him from the universe. He offers her anything she wants in return, and she asks for a place on the cultural anthropology fellowship. Celeste tries her best to continue her professional academic life until she has to call on Vassago after an altercation with her boyfriend.
He sure knows how to make a woman feel like she's the only one in existence ✨️ ❤️
"I was grateful to the sun for existing for as long as it had just so her soul could bless this plane. I was grateful to the hundreds of ancestors she had that carried her DNA until her conception."-Vassago
Celeste puts up a lot of crap from her gaslighting/rapist boyfriend. K. Elle Morrison really portrays what it's like to live with someone who constantly belittles you while simultaneously trying to snuff out your dreams.
"The idea of sleeping next to him felt like going to bed with a serial killer. His hands were covered in the blood of my self-esteem and the future he'd strangle out of me." -Celeste

This story is a quick and easy read. Vassago was locked away for 50 years, Celeste released him. Oh God...or maybe Oh Lucifer...how good is that he is free now! I adore him, he is my favourite of the brothers so far. It made me smile, that he was there for Celeste ever since he was released, even, when she didn't know anything about it.
I loved that the author made a note in the middle of the book, between chapters, to show, check the trigger warnings before you go further, because, the heavy parts start from here. Which was true! SA on page never an easy theme, not to write nor to read. It's always made me mad...there are things, which not supposed to be real! This is one of them! But I need to say, I loved the revenge! Vassago and the hellhounds made it painful, and gorey. Which is what he was deserve after the SA! I'm on Vass side!
Only one story lefr behind, and I'm sad about it. This is another couple, what I wish I could read more about.
The Prince of Envy is true to his name because I’m ENVIOUS of having a morally grey and beautiful being that is willing to kîłł to protect me. 💅🏻 Don’t settle for any less lady’s and gents. This novella is a quick read, but still has a concise plot, great balance of spice, character development, and more insight on the war between the exorcist priests and the princes of hèłł.
Tropes/vibes: 🪲 Touch her and ☠️ 🪲 Smart and ambitious FMC 🪲 MMC that will do anything for FMC 🪲 Vîøłëncè 🪲 On page SA (Read TWs) 🪲 Paranormal creatures
I’m an ARC reader and these are my own honest opinions.
“Don’t be frightened, my gift, I have been waiting for you.”
5⭐️ I cannot believe we are already on the 6th prince. I’m so sad I know these novellas are coming to an end but I adore them so much. Vass was so sweet and kind of a little unhinged but I was here for it. I love how each Prince gets their own POV and how the story picks up right where it left off. We get the POV from a previous event but the story still progresses and I really enjoy that. This one is definitely darker than the other novellas so check the content warnings for sure. All in all I’m still obsessed with this series and Envy didn’t disappoint.
Vassago, by far, is my favorite Prince of Hell now! The Prince of Envy is a little dark, a little broody, and the perfect amount of stalker with "touch her and d!e." I absolutely adored his unrelenting adoration for Celeste. This one is quite a bit dark than the other books in the series so far, and I can not stress enough how important it is to read and heed the trigger warnings! I'm completely torn at needing the last book in this series to see how the overall plot ends but also not wanting to say goodbye to these characters!
Once again I will say, how do you fall in love with a demon? You read these novellas that’s how! I will never get enough of this series! I love the way the author makes the princes of hell, just really misunderstood guys who needed the right woman to come along, and then their inner simp comes out…but don’t harm said woman cause that’s how you unsubscribe to life 😂. I’m so sad this series is almost over but I also am glad to have read it.
I AM OBSESSED WITH THESE MEN 🥵🥵 Vassago is the 6th brother to get his own novella and I love them all. Celeste accidentally freed the demon and the instant connection was 😘 I’m not at all sorry about what happened to her sh*tty boyfriend cuz quite frankly he deserved it but I love how Vass stepped in for her and was perfect…where do I get one? 🥺

Another quick and spicy read by the amazing K. Elle Morrison! Vassago and Celeste go through the fires of hell to reach their happily ever after but Celeste’s character growth is an important aspect of the story.
The trigger warning at the beginning and leading up to the SA scene was very tastefully done and I’m sure will be appreciated by those who need it❤️
As always, K Elle delivers a perfectly spicy novella that takes us on a journey that will leave us begging for more. I swear with each Prince they just get better and better. You aren’t going to want to miss this one for sure!!
This novella was a quick read and had a great balance of spice and character development as well! It was an enjoyable read and definitely leaves me wanting even more
Vassago, from the moment Celeste frees him, he knows he belongs to her. He calls her, ‘his gift’. Every time he does there is this little part inside that goes soft and wishes for something like that too. He’s different than his brothers, more able to emote, more insightful into the changes in their lives. The joy he feels at their changes in fortune is real. The joy he feels at being reunited is so genuine. His possessiveness over Celeste, now that is next level stalker. It’s totally NOT FAIR! (I can’t tell you, it would spoil it, but when you get to the library, YOU WILL KNOW!)
Celeste, she’s hyper focused on her academic career. She’s seen to many women get waylaid by some man’s magical p33n, she absolutely refuses to let that be her. But because of that, she allows herself to be treated less than, and over time it has taken it’s toll. There are consequences.
But there are consequences to every choice we make, Vassago and Celeste are finding that out.
Have you ever had a book hangover? Like, finished a book and needed time, because you were still there, in that world with those characters?
That’s Morrison’s real gift, she has built this world and filled it with people we’ve fallen in love with. Whether we want to root for their success, or wish we could have what they have, or chant for their, very much deserved, demise, she has completely drawn us into this world.
I did not want to leave, but it was everything I expected and wanted and more.
