Can't wait for the sequel! Duke Thomas is a fighter pilot fighting for the French in World War I. He falls in love, solves a great ancient mystery, travels to exotic locations, and miraculously survives against all odds. It's a great, fast read. I learned about biplanes and triplanes, ancient history in the times of Caesar and Cleopatra, and the details of aerial combat back in the early days of aviation. I highly recommend this novel.
