About the author

Scott Frost is an American screen writer and novelist. He is the son of actor Warren Frost and the brother of Mark Frost and actress Lindsay Frost. He worked with his brother and David Lynch on the Twin Peaks television series, writing two episodes. Among others, he has also written episodes of Babylon 5 and Andromeda. In the early 1990s, he wrote the script for the mystery/thriller TV movie Past Tense with Miguel Tejada-Flores. He again worked with his brother on the 2001 series All Souls.

this is the series of the female detective in pasadena. starts off with her having to have a lump in her breast tested. she told her daughter but not her partner/boyfriend

a man is killing people in pasadena during a heat wave and is contacting her, leaving her clues. she thinks he will eventually come after her and wants to use herself as bait.

he killed several people. the end came at the hospital, her partner/lover was knifed but survived. the bad guy was arrested. she got the phone call about her biopsy at the end of the book, but we dont know what the outcome is. cant wait to read the next in the series!

I enjoyed the story line in this book. The plot continually developed and was always interesting. I found the last third of the book such that I was always looking to find time to read some more. Will read more by this author.

I liked ths - I especially liked that everything described in the blurb has happened by page 20 so instead of spending ages building up the tension, it launched straight into it. I liked the characters and how they had a short backstory which wasn't overpowering. While I liked the plot, I found after a while that there were too many people to keep track of and I was confused. Also they kept trying to recap everything that had happened but this just made me more baffled. I would read more of Scott Frost's books though.

Well, it was nice to dive back into the adventures of Delillo and Harrison. Frost develops their characters and relationship well in this 5th installation. A very interesting villain really keeps the suspense going, all until the extremely disappointing ending. I won't spoil anything, because spoliers are just wrong, but the ending is such a letdown, it ruined the book for me, so I figured I'd review it so other Frost fans could have the opportunity to avoid this book.

ive never read a homicide book so thrilling!!this book rocks!!its a complete must-read!!by the way i wanna read all the Alex Delillo books right now.those murders are so atrocious especially O'Brein's.Alex is really a perfect detective.as this is the first alex# book iv read, i should wish her luck for her breast cancer!!

Really enjoyed this book only problem was that the ending seemed a bit rushed. With so much build up to it i thought it would be a bit more detailed but overall a really scary and thrilling read!
