Easily the best of Static’s time on the Teen Titans, this volume sees Static return to Dakota and have to go up against Holocaust.

Felicia Henderson wrote this, and it makes me sad her & Denys Cowan never got to make that ongoing Static Shock comic they were supposed to. She has a great voice for the character here, and seeing the Titans going up against Holocaust is just something else.

Really enjoyed this one, even though Static left the team by the end.

Jesus this run is running out of gas.

First two parter with static couldn't be more boring, and even with superboy returning nothing of interest happened, especially the storyline with Raven. A BORE to say the least.

I'm ready for a new writer.

Probably a far better read if you read at least some Static Shock going in. The first half of the story is all about resolving Static's broken ties with his home. But since I had never read Static Shock (or watched the cartoon, ofr that matter) I had no real emotional connection here. The second half, about that hunt for Raven the title mentions, echoed the storyline in Teen Titans, Vol. 1: A Kid's Game a bit too closely for my taste. Granted that the two stories weren't exact copies of each other, and that I may not have spotted so many similarities if I hadn't read A Kid's Game just a few months ago. Oh, and while I'm at it: Beast Boy watching Raven sleep is creepy. No less so because he's in bird form.

Story is very choppy, jumps from view point to view point, from timeline to timeline in a matter of just a few pages. This is incredibly frustrating and pulls the reader out of the story again and again. Pacing is awful.

Wonder Girl faces pressure being the new leader of the Teen Titans, Static returns to Dakota to save his home town and the whole team fights Holocaust and then saves Raven from The Wyld in another dimension.

Thought I would enjoy this work since I usually like the team (mostly Raven, Robin and/or Nightwing, and even Beast Boy) but this was really badly written. The dialog and plot jumped around without explanation or connection. It felt forced and rushed the entire way through despite the interesting concepts and great illustration.

This was a hard book to get through because it was just so bad. I love the teen titans and I've really enjoyed the series so far, but this volume is the absolute worst. It is, in a word, sloppy. Tons of typos and misspelled names, and the story itself is so jumpy and there's no flow whatsoever. I honestly felt like I was missing pages from the book because the panels would sometimes be totally different from the rest, so it was hard to keep up. And I won't spoil who comes back to the team, but I will say I was utterly confused as to how it even happened. I don't know if an issue with that big return should have been included in the book, or if they should have just put an editor's note in the corner of what issue to read, but it only added to the sloppiness of this entire book.

Raven is lost in another dimension, and the team has to find her. Cyborg sent a pair of scientists to help, and they learn how to open the dimensional rift necessary to go after her.

Aquagirl and Bombshell go deep into the ocean to open the necessary rift while the others go in to find Raven. Both teams face grave danger, and it's not guaranteed that everyone will survive this mission. Miss Martian has to remain behind- the Wyld (the entity who stove Raven) can infiltrate her mind.

This was nonstop action, and I loved it.

Felicia Henderson is the writer here and its clear she's not a comics writer and makes sense that she didn't write much more than this. This was one of the worst Titans maybe superhero books I've ever read. There were so many things that didn't make sense why they happened or why the characters acted and reacted the ways they did. It was cliched, generic, and nothing here will ever be revisited. The art was good for the most part but the issues are all with the writing. Overall, miserable.

The story suffers from poor editing both from the writer and editor. The story was convoluted but not enough to see where it could have been cleared up. Things will happen and you’ll wonder what you missed. For example, there’s a moment when Raven is taken away but it’s very easy to not notice it happening. In the issue when it happens and the following issue, the Teen Titans make such a big deal about it and I had to go back and find the small panel where it occurred. There is no explanation or theories given as to why certain things happen.

3.75/5 it was good BC it's my first comic that I went out of my way and got. Currently loving everything DC and I picked this up from the library so I don't really know the timeline this is set. But I do know that it's after bart Allen becomes the second kid flash. Soo... Overall good comic, I'm going to read more of them. Also don't know if this really counts as a book yk

I would give this a 4, it was a neat book with some cool action, but it was chock full of unexplained bullshit and made-up on the spot rules rules for a world that, to my knowledge, never returns in the series. For example, Cool book, check it out if you're a fan of Teen Titans, but if you're not or are just getting into them then skip this one or save it for later.

Library copy. A bit of a skip forward for me as I had read and enjoyed Geoff Johns runs, but I missed all the work after him and before this writer. Little action and lots of talking heads in the beginning as the writer has a TV background. Took a while for me to warm up to her voice, but I think she discovers her voice along the way as well.

this thing was AWFUL. the art was pretty, I couldn't give it one star- but this is really the first american comic book I've read, and when I finished the only thought going through my head was "this can't be what geeks everywhere are obsessed with! There has to be more than than this!" And lo and behold- I was right!
Really, this comic book was just ridiculously bad. It was just... BAD. B a d

Good artwork, and interesting storyline although a couple of my favourite members of the team were missing from the line up. This was my first read of Static - although I'd seen him briefly in Young Justice.

I already knew I was going to love the teen titans because I used to love watching the Cartoon Network show (NOT teen titans go). Now that I'm getting into the real thing, I can see I was right. This was a very enjoyable read. I can't wait to read more.

Picked this cause I love raven but was strangely disappointed. The level of information about static's life is overwhelming and boring. The story was quite complex and short however was satisfied with the involvement of new teen titans such as bombshell and aquagirl.

Is it bad that I'm glad they're finally getting around to "gettin' the band back together" in this volume?

I feel no guilt. There is some missing info needed, though. Had to go into some other titles to be caught up, but that's ok.

Not many issues left until the end of the series.

Worst graphic novel I have read -- jumps like a scratchy record, with lame justification for actions and reactions.
