April Is for Asher

Rate this book
I’m not a one-night stand kind of girl until you mix in tequila apparently.
All I got was his first name and a face that will stick in my mind until the day I die.
Mostly because I’m sure our baby will look like him in less than nine months.

I love my life on the mountain, but it can get lonely.
A few drinks in and bad choices were made, like letting the most beautiful I’ve ever met walk away the next morning.
I try to lose myself in helping the wild horses at the local Mustang Refuge and forget about her.
Until she shows up on my doorstep with a surprise I didn’t see coming…

I love these short, sweet books. They are a nice break from longer reads but this one is shorter than others. Asher and Jenna are cute together. Looking forward to reading Mack's book.

The Benefits Of Small Town Interference -
Asher was shaken to the core, but ecstatic when the woman he had a one night stand with came back months later to tell him he was going to be a dad, as he had still not gotten over her. Unfortunately, Jenna informed him that she would be moving hours away for her job. Luckily, he got the opportunity to be part of the pregnancy before she had moved, but an unexpected occurrence caused friction between them and nearly cost Asher his chance of being a father. However, time apart and cooler heads, helped them get back on track towards a wonderful life.

This was an engaging, well written story from start to finish. I really enjoyed how the characters relationship developed, including the way his friends rallied round to help them without question. This is a definite must read book.

This was a great surprise pregnancy romance. It was a short story with a good flow. I really liked the storyline, it didn’t have a ton of drama only some mild conflict. Jenna and Asher had great chemistry and we got to have a bit of steam. I enjoyed it.

OMG!!! WOW!! Fab*u*lous Absolutely love this one!! I couldn't put this one down. This was a nice quick, short read.

Asher and Jenna met when they have a one night stand. The next day Jenna is gone when Asher wakes up, he made plans to ask her for more but she was gone. Four months later, Jenna shows up at the refuge Asher runs. After Jenna seen Asher's picture all over the Mustang Mountain Man of the months post that Ruby has been putting up. Jenna tells Asher she is four months pregnant and just wanted to let him know as a father, she doesn't want anything from him and is prepared to raise her child on her own. Jenna got a promotion at work and is going to be moving half way across the state. Asher tells Jenna he wants to be involved in his child's life, so she tells him about her next doctors appointment. Asher asks Jenna for her phone then puts his number in, the number for the refuge, and a few of his friends numbers if she can't get a hold of him. Jenna tells Asher he doesn't have to come to her doctors appointment but he insist. Then Asher tells Jenna he'd like to take her to lunch after her appointment so they can discus things. After Jenna leaves Asher calls a meeting at the MC clubhouse. Some of the ladies come along. Asher tells them about Jenna being pregnant, and lets them all know it is his and he wants to help with his child. Asher shows up for Jenna's doctors appointment and is early. When Jenna arrives Asher knows that something is wrong. Jenna tells Asher they'll talk over lunch. After the appointment Asher takes Jenna out for some Italian. While eating Jenna fills Asher in on selling her home but the couple wants to move in right away. Jenna's home at her new job isn't available just yet and she doesn't want to live with her sister and her new husband. Asher asks Jenna to move in with him since her work is close to where he lives. After they negotiate a deal Jenna agrees. The next day Asher shows up with all of his MC brother's and their wife's/girlfriends and are ready to move Jenna into his home. They all pitch in to help Jenna and Asher tells her he doesn't want her doing anything just resting. When Jenna's sister Hailey comes she introduces her to everyone. Soon Izzy (Ford's daughter) February is for Ford comes running in letting everyone know that lunch has arrived. All the men allow the woman to grab their food before they start to dig in to grab their own. Before Jenna knows it they are all done loading her things and are heading back to Asher's home. Asher tells Jenna that he'll take her car and have it checked over so that she can drive up and down the mountain when the weather gets bad. Jenna's things are moved into the guest bedroom, while Asher gives her a tour. When they go into Asher's office Jenna notices he has two car seats, but she wanted but were very expensive. Jenna tells him they're to much but Asher tells her that nothing is to much for their child's safety. Asher shows Jenna to her room and tells her to relax while he make her something to eat. As they eat Asher tells Jenna about the refuge, how he can get calls at all hours of the night. Asher assures Jenna that there are other vets who can take his calls if he's unavailable. Jenna heads to bed, and lays thinking about everything that Asher has done since he found out she was pregnant. The next morning Asher wakes up early so that he can get breakfast ready for Jenna. Asher had a rough night thinking about Jenna in the other bedroom. Asher tells Jenna he needs to get to the refuge to prepare for the annual Easter egg hunt. Jenna asks Asher if she can come along and help out. When they arrive at the refuge Asher shows Jenna around, but tells her to be careful around some of the horses, they are wild. Asher leaves Jenna with the other girls who are helping out, but he tells her to call or text him if she needs anything. When they get back to Asher's cabin he tells her he heard her last night pleasuring herself. Asher asks Jenna what if they got together until she leaves, they can both scratch an itch. When Asher gets inside he takes Jenna to his bedroom, he pleasures her then they make love. The next day at the Easter egg hunt Asher walks around making sure everything is alright. Jenna hangs out with the girls doing face paintings. A few days later Jenna has an appointment to find out the sex of their baby. After Jenna checks in she is in the waiting room waiting for Asher. Jenna is called back to the exam room and tells the nurse that the babies father should be her anytime if she could send him back. Jenna then tries to call Asher but he doesn't answer. A few minutes later, Asher calls Jenna and tells her he's not going to make it. Jenna tells him she doesn't care what his excuse is the appointment was important. Asher asks her to let him explain but Jenna tells him she really doesn't care what his excuse is and hangs up her phone. Jenna's father was never around and always said the same things. Jenna finds out she's having a boy, and she realizes she doesn't want her child to grow up like she did, full of broken promises and false hopes. Jenna doesn't want to live her life like that either, she knows she can do this on her own. After Jenna leaves her phone rings she finds out her place is available and she can move in. Jenna heads back to Asher's cabin and packs her things into her SUV. Jenna heads into Asher's office and leaves a note for him along with his house key, then leaves. Asher was on his way to Jenna's appointment when a car in front of him swerved trying to avoid an animal the car went off the road and hit the ditch and flipped. Asher call 911 but then he knew he had to help the family, and stayed until help arrived then he answer questions. When Asher got home Jenna's car isn't there, when he gets inside he finds all her belongs gone along with a note Jenna left for him. Asher takes his phone out and calls Jenna but she doesn't answer, he calls back but leaves a voice mail explaining to her what happened. When Jenna doesn't call back Asher pours himself a drink, then he grabs the bottle, heads into the living room and collapses on his couch. Soon some of Asher's friends show up, Luna February is for Ford tells Asher what she told her about her childhood and her father. Asher doesn't understand why Jenna didn't tell him about her father. Jenna is out to dinner with her sister, her sister's husband is putting together her crib. Jenna's sister asks her what is going on, and she fills her in. Jenna's sister asks her if she talked to Asher to find out the reason he wasn't there. Jenna plays the voicemail Asher left her. Her sister asks her what if it was her hurt in the vehicle wouldn't she want someone to stop and help her. Her sister also tells her that Asher isn't their father, but she's been talking to a therapist about it. Her sister tells Jenna that Asher has been there for everything, he just missed one thing. Her sister asks her how does Asher make her feel, Jenna can't stop the smile that spreads across her face. After Jenna drops her sister off back at her house, she drives to the park that overlooks the city. Jenna watches the sunset and lets herself think. After Asher's night of drinking he's got a killer hangover. Asher heads to find Jenna after taking the day off. Asher is sitting on her front steps waiting for her when her sister comes walking up. Asher asks where Jenna is, her sister tells him they had a pretty deep conversation over dinner then she went to the park. Asher heads to the park, when he finds her car he pulls in beside her. Asher knocks on her door, Jenna asks him how he found her, he tells her her sister. Asher tells her he understand her need to protect their child, but the thought of her being here and him not being about to be with his child kills him. Asher doesn't want to miss anything, he want to be part of their lives. Asher tells her he knows he needs to prove himself, he hired more help for the refuge but he can't promise he won't be late, or get an emergency call. Jenna tells him that after talking to her sister she knows he's not her dad, and she doesn't want their son to ever be disappointment or heartbroken. Asher asks her if they are having a son, Jenna tells him she has the ultrasound photos. Asher pull out the house key Jenna left, he tells her he wants her to move back in with him permanently, he wants them both living with him. Asher tells Jenna there's a doctors office in town that has a position available, he thinks would be perfect for her. Jenna tells Asher she already sent her resume to the doctors office, she has an interview the day after tomorrow. Asher tells her he loves her, everyday he plans to spend convincing her to agree to marry him. Asher takes a chance and pulls out the ring and asks Jenna to marry him, she tells him yes. Their story is just beginning and they both can't wait to get it started.

Asher and Jenna meet and share an instant attraction. After spending an amazing night together, Asher has plans to sweep her off her feet. But when he wakes, she’s gone, leaving no way to reach her. He didn’t even get her last name. He spends months trying to find her with no success. Jenna soon realizes her night with Asher left her with a permanent gift. Not knowing his last name, number or even, city of residence she has no way to tell him about the baby. When Ruby features Asher as Mustang Mountain’s Man of the Month, Mr. April, Jenna sees it and is able to track him down. She’s surprised to learn he not only wants to support her, he vows to be a part of the baby’s life as much as he can. Growing up with a father who consistently let her down left her with trust and abandonment issues. Jenna has trouble trusting Asher will follow through on his promises to be involved as much as possible. When circumstances with her new promotion have her needing a temporary place to live, Asher offers for her to stay with him. The attraction is still there for both of them. Then they agree to take things back to the bed for what Asher says is to “scratch a mutual itch” until she leaves, even though it’s anything but that for either of them. She wants to hope it can be more but Asher’s intensity and the way he cares scares her. The first time an unexpected complication has Asher missing an important doctor’s appointment with Jenna, her insecurities and fear from her childhood trauma take hold. She doesn’t give him a chance to explain, instead she packs up and leaves. Asher is devastated. Good thing it doesn’t take too long for him to get it together and go after her. Oh man, Ruby is going to be the big head over this since she can sort claim partial credit for these two getting together. 😂😂.

Ruby, the local busybody, has once again struck. She has chosen Asher as the Mustang Mountain Man of the Month of April. Asher is upset about it. He is part of the Mustang Mountain MC. The dispatcher for emergencies calls him as he is a large animal veterinarian, as a car has hit a horse. All of the MM MC work together to get the crowd disbursed and to help get the horse into the trailer for transit to Asher’s clinic.

A woman named Jenna shows up after all of the hullabaloo from the horse hit by the car. She tells Asher that he is going to be a father in five months or so. Donna is Asher’s receptionist as well as one of the biggest gossips in town, next to Ruby. Jenna has a sister and has some major hang ups regarding her father and believes all men are going to be like him. There are some misunderstandings as well as the fact that Jenna will be moving to Billings soon for her job’s promotion. At the MC clubhouse, he tells the rest of the guys and the three women that belong to Jackson, Miles and Ford. Asher wants to be part of both Jenna’s and his baby’s life.

I really enjoy this series and Ruby is a riot. I can’t wait for the next books as all of the guys are awesome and I want to know more about them.

Learning to tame the wild mustang

April is for Asher is the fourth book in the Mountain Men of Mustang Mountain series. This month it is Asher who Ruby has decided needs to find a woman to settle down with. So she goes about posting about him online and the unexpected happens.....he actually finds the woman who he cannot stop thinking about. It all happened one night with a few too many drinks, a lot of dancing and talking, and a connection that resulted in a night of toe curling pleasure. But in the morning she was gone and he has not been able to find her since. Jenna was out with girl friends for a bachelorette party when she ended up doing something she never does....have too many shots and a one night stand. Once he falls asleep she grabs her cloths and make a dash out the door, not wanting to have an awkward morning after. The thing is that she left with a little something else that will change her life in ways she is not aware of yet.
Asher and Jenna are both interesting characters who end up having an interesting relationship, one with a number of twists that make for an engaging read. While I really enjoyed this story I did have an issue with the flow, as it needs another visit to a good proofreader. Otherwise it was a good read and a nice addition to the series.

This book is about Jenna, up for a big promotion and about to move across the state, and Asher, a mountain man through and through and a vet at Mountain Mustang.

During a charity ride Asher and his friends did four months back, he meets Jenna, who's there for her friend's bachelorette party. After a few drinks and good conversation, they have a one-night stand where they find a connection with each other. But the next morning, Jenna's gone, and even though Asher looks for her, he can´t find anything with only her first name.
Back to the present, Asher is put on the town's website as Mr. April by the town gossip, Ruby. Jenna finds this and heads to Mountain Mustang to tell Asher some... heavy news. I won't say much else, in order not to spoil it.

This was a super quick novella, and you can read it in one sitting. It is the fourth installment in the Mountain Men of Mustang Mountain series.
I'd never read from this author before but I'm definitely going to now. Totally recommend it for anyone needing a fast and cute pick-me-up!

This is book four in The Men of Mustang Mountain series and it is Jenna and Asher’s story. Asher who is a vet for large animals and also runs a refuge isn’t very happy as Ruby who is trying to find the perfect match for each of The Mustang Mountain Riders who is a motor cycle club as plastered Asher all over the town’s website but what he doesn’t know is that it is going to bring him the one woman who he can’t seem to forget back in his life. Jenna spent one night with Asher which is something that she has never done before but she had too much too drink and now she is pregnant with his baby and feels like he has the rights to no even though she doesn’t want anything from him as she knows that men are unreliable after seeing how her dad was but she wants Asher to know. Jenna and Asher still have a strong attraction and intense chemistry but will it be enough for them to trust each other and become a family. I really enjoyed reading this book with alls it ups and downs and complicated situations and I look forward to reading more books in the future.

Asher was not getting mixed up with the bachelor of the month march up. When he gets a knock at his door and answers it, he is shocked to see the woman from the bachelor party hook up standing there. She had been haunting his dreams since. Jenna was standing st his door, he lets her in and she dropped a bomb shell that she was pregnant and the baby was his. Asher was excited and nervous at the same time. He had to show her that he wanted her to move with him and raise the baby together. It was easier said then done. He had to show her in more ways then one to let her know
Jenna was glad he was going to be there for her but she had a job she was glad to get but it was not near him. He had shown her every day he wanted her. Jenna didn't know what she should do, take the job but that would mean she'd be away from Asher. Her fee!ings won out and she moved with Asher and has never been happier. Asher was happy that he would get to marry Jenna and raise the baby together.

April is For Asher, by Kaci Rose is a short but steamy read with a Happy Ever After.

Asher is April's man of the month, thanks to Ruby, the town's busybody, gossiper, matchmaker, or whatever you want to call her. Thanks to her putting his photo on the town's website, Asher is very surprised when a girl he had a one night stand with comes to his animal rescue ranch and tells him she is pregnant with his child. Asher wants to be a part of not only his child's life, but that of Jenna as well, and he will do whatever he has to do to prove that to her.

April is For Asher, is a very fast paced, but delightful and fun read. The characters are well-written and I loved the fact that the story starts not with the one night stand, but several months and we get to watch their love story unfold. The adventure will keep you engaged and I highly recommend this series.

I enjoyed everything about this book…the caring and concerned characters and the different spin on the “one night” pregnancy. Jenna and Asher spent that one night together and he felt a deep connection with her, but she was gone in the morning. She returns to Asher because she believes he has the right to know that she is pregnant, with his child. He is thrilled that she has done so and wants to be a part of his baby’s life. He and the men and their women on Mustang Mountain are a family and they are willing and eager to have Jenna become a part of that family. Jenna has other plans, but will Asher and the time spent before she has to leave for her new job, be enough to make her want to stay? A truly caring man who is not afraid to put himself out there for the woman he loves. I can’t wait to see what Mack is in for! Asher and Jenna's Story . . .

Jenna and Asher, after a bit too much to drink, have a one-night-stand that results in Jenna’s pregnancy. Both Jenna and Asher wanted to get back in touch with each other, but only knowing first names made it seem impossible. Jenna finally found a way and went to talk to him. She wanted to let him know that, although she wasn’t asking him for anything, he deserved to know that he is the father of their child. Asher was more than willing to step up and support his child. And he had already been thinking he had made a mistake letting her walk away that night, because he wanted to pursue a relationship with her. The problem now is that her father had never been there for her and she has trust issues she will have to resolve. Will she be able to put the past behind her and trust Asher? Can they have a future together where he can prove he will always be there for his family?

Asher is April's man of the month Ruby has put him up on Mustang Mountains web page. He has asked her to take it down but to no avail. He is very surprised when a one night stand comes to his rescue ranch and tells him she saw him on the web site and she is pregnant with his child. Asher remembers Jenna very well, in fact he had been trying to find her since that night but was unable to. Now he feels he has a chance if Jenna will let down her guard long enough to accept him. Asher and Jenna are a great couple but Jenna has huge issues with believing Asher would want to stay and help her raise their child. In fact she is just waiting for him to fail. This is a fast paced steamy well written love story. I really enjoy these Men of the Month series. Excellent read and storyline.

Diving back into Mustang Mountain for April Is For Asher! This series is another 5⭐️ must read! All I can say is if you haven’t read this series yet, and if you love rough, obsessive, sweet and gentle mountain men- then you definitely need to read this series. You won’t be disappointed.
Asher and Jenna had a one night stand, one that Asher hasn’t been able to forget. But she was gone in the morning and no contact info was exchanged between them. She’s finally able to track him down because of Ruby. When she shows up at Asher’s office he’s not only excited to see her, but her taken back by the news she drops on him! One thing for certain, now that he’s got her back, he’s not about to let her go! He’s determined to prove himself to her.
I absolutely love everything I’ve read by Kaci, and this book was another great read! Next up is Mack’s story and I’m super excited for his!

This is a short, very hot insta love/secret baby romance. Since their passionate one night stand four months ago, Asher has been unable to forget Jenna. She left while he was sleeping and with only her first name he couldn’t contact her. He is both stunned and grateful when she comes to his mustang refuge to find him. Discovering Jenna is pregnant is an unexpected but joyful surprise for Asher. Though she seems reluctant to have him in the baby’s life, Asher is not about to back away. Now he is determined to claim Jenna and not just because she is carrying his baby. He felt an instant connection to her and being near her makes him certain that she is meant for him. Will Jenna let down the guards around her heart and let Asher in or will she push him away because of her painful past?.

This quick read was super cute and steamy. When Asher is the next guy that is placed online by the town matchmaker, he can’t help but shake his head at her antics, but what he isn’t expecting is for it to turn his world upside down. One night a while ago he had the best night and connection with this woman who disappeared the next morning and Asher never really got over her until she shows up on his door with some news. Jenna saw Asher online and knew this was her chance to make things right without expecting anything from him. As these two try to figure out ways to make things work, they are both filled with apprehension but mostly an undeniable attraction that they can’t fight, but will it all work out in the end or leave both heartbroken? This was such a cute and fun read; I love this series so much.

April is for Asher is a great whirlwind instant love romance with Jenna and Asher. They had one hot night four months ago but, in the morning, she was gone. Asher felt a connection with Jenna but when she left without a trace he had no idea how to track her down. Now she is back, and she has a little bit of a surprise for him. Jenna never thought of herself as a one-night stand kind of gal, but she had this intense connection with Asher, but she knew he certainly didn't want more, so to not embarrass herself in the morning she snuck out. She accidently found out where he lives, and she just wants him to know that she is pregnant and also that she doesn't want or expect anything from him. What she isn't expecting is for this big burly wonderful man to once again sweep her off her feet and bend over backwards to show her what she was missing!

A fast paced, surprise pregnancy romance. Asher and Jenna also had a serious case of instalove.

Asher bent over backwards to take care of any actual and/or potential problem Jenna had because of the pregnancy. He did it with complete kindness and respect.

Not only did Asher go above and beyond, but all of his friends did as well. I liked the sense of friendship, family, and support between the mountain men and their significant others.

A serious lack of communication occurred all on Jenna's part. Her reaction was a huge turn off for me in regards to Jenna's character. It changed the feeling of the book for me.

Asher and Jenna did get their HEA. It did start out and end as a sweet romance.

April is for Asher by Kaci Rose is a short, sweet, steamy romance with a HEA. After a one-night stand, Asher wishes he could find the woman he cannot seem to forget; Jenna needs to find the man who is the father to her baby. When Jenna finds Asher, she lets him know that he is under no obligation, but Asher wants nothing more than both Jenna and their baby to be his.
Asher does everything he can to support Jenna and her decisions; he tries to prove to her that he will be there no matter what. Jenna has some baggage in the form of an absentee father, which she carries heavily in her heart, making her “react” instead of “respond” to issues that arise.
Though Jenna’s insecurities get the better of her, Asher’s patience and understanding eventually win out!

Asher, the male lead, hasn’t forgotten his one night stand with Jenna, the female lead, but she’d already left and he couldn’t find her. When he’s placed up as the eligible man of the month by the town’s matchmaker, Jenna finds him to inform him that she’s pregnant. He wants her and the baby but he needs to convince her that he’s far more trustworthy than her father was…

This short story is dual POV, and an interesting and engaging contemporary, mountain man, accidental pregnancy romance. I enjoyed Asher’s commitment and adjustments to make space for Jenna in his life. I found Jenna a bit trigger happy I enjoyed the secondary character integration and the found family feel.

I loved April is for Asher: A Curvy Girl, One Night Stand, Surprise Pregnancy Romance Book 4 of Mountain Men of Mustang Mountain. Asher doesn’t want to be the next man of the month but when it brings Jenna back to him he can’t be upset. They only had one night together but he wanted more, she left before he could tell her. Now she has news that will change their lives but she has trauma from her past that she’s taking out in Asher. Can he prove to her he’s here for good? Such a sweet story and I loved the characters. I love this series and I would definitely recommend this book. Can’t wait for the month of May.

Asher gets a surprise visit from Jenna, who he had a one nighter with a month before. It was much more than physical to both of them, but she had disappeared before he woke up. Now they are together, learning about each other and letting a relationship grow. The characters are richly detailed with great backstories, determination and plenty of secrets. One of those secrets could separate them for good. The storyline builds up a wealth of new friends and activities, plenty of deep thinking and planning, and some great steamy situations. The ending was heartwarming with their new direction in sight. Well done.

This book was just what the doctor ordered! Asher is a veterinarian and runs a horse refuge in a small town on in the mountains. Jenna is a city girl and happens to be a nurse. They meet after Jenna’s sister’s wedding. It was supposed to be a one night stand but it left them both longing for more. Jenna snuck out before Asher woke up the next morning.
Some weeks later, Jenna surprises Asher with some news. This news changes everything for both of them. Jenna is very reluctant to trust Asher but he does everything he can to prove himself.
I loved this book! It held my attention from the very beginning and kept it until the end. This was a quick read that I would definitely recommend!.

Mustang Mountain man Asher is a large animal vet and just rescued a horse. While he is in his office, his one night stand Jenna comes back and give him a surprise of his life. She is pregnant and she is just letting him know.
Asher's friends are coupling off and he thought this could be his chance for his HEA as long as he can convince Jenna.
Jenna doesn't trust men ever since her father wasn't warm and caring. She never wanted to rely on man and she is moving to Billings for better paying job to support her and her baby. She didn't expect Asher to be as nice and willing to give it a try.
Everything seems to workout for them but when Jenna is spooked, she runs away. Will Asher go after her and be there for Jenna?
It is short and sweet story with surprise baby.
I haven't read other books but I would definitely check them out.
