The Game Series • Book 12 • Sequel to Apex Predator • MM+MM • Primal Play • D/s • ADHD in Romance • High-Protocol Kink • Age Gap • Second Chances • Ethical Non-Monogamy
The vacation is over for the four men you met in Apex Predator, and now it’s time for Ty and Walker to be on the prowl to secure their happily ever afters.

What do you do when you come home from a vacation that changed your life?

Walker McKenna was finally back with his husband and beloved submissive, Macklin. They had their work cut out for them, and they were ready. Walker had spent four years trying to get over the love of his life, and it just wasn’t happening. He couldn’t go back to that life-sucking void of an existence. But that didn’t mean his new path was paved with roses and unwavering confidence. When the ghosts of past hurt and insecurities grabbed hold of both men, Walker had to go on a hunt once more—and this time was different. This time, he found support in a new friend. A man with a fresh take on life, devilish charm, and a mission of his own.

Ty Madison returned home to DC and the blizzard of the year. He had one goal. To make Lane his—permanently. Ty couldn’t just write off the insane week they’d shared down south as a vacation fling. They belonged together. But before he went after the young man, who had his reasons for avoiding attachments at all costs, they had a storm to weather, and Ty found himself alone in his house with Walker. A man with insight, incredible charisma, and troubles of his own.

Maybe some missions were best executed as a team.

The Game Series is a BDSM series where romance meets the reality of kink. Sometimes we fall for someone we don’t match with, sometimes vanilla business gets in the way of kinky pleasure, and sometimes we have to compromise and push ourselves to overcome trauma and insecurities. No matter what, one thing is certain. This is not a perfect world—and maybe that’s why the happily ever after feels so good.

I'm often stoically silent or, if the topic interests me, a chronic rambler. In other words, I can discuss writing forever and ever. Fiction, in particular. The love story—while a huge draw and constantly present—is secondary for me, because there's so much more to writing romance fiction than just making two (or more) people fall in love and have hot sex. There's a world to build, characters to develop, interests to create, and a topic or two to research thoroughly. Every book is a challenge for me, an opportunity to learn something new, and a puzzle to piece together. I want my characters to come to life, and the only way I know to do that is to give them substance—passions, history, goals, quirks, and strong opinions—and to let them evolve. Additionally, I want my men and women to be relatable. That means allowing room for everyday problems and, for lack of a better word, flaws. My characters will never be perfect.

Wait…this was supposed to be about me, not my writing.

I'm a writey person who loves to write. Always wanderlusting, twitterpating, kinking, and geeking. There's time for hockey and cupcakes, too. But mostly, I just love to write.

Spoilers ahead that I’m not hiding.

I’m shocked by how much I disliked this book. I don’t dislike any of Cara’s books and I ADORE this series.

But this felt like it was written by someone else.

Six fucking days it took me to get through this.

Ty was the best part but he was hardly in it.

This is not a kink book. And for Cara, it’s very low steam. And to gloss over the first and only scene between the four of them is like, a crime in writing. And big relationship progression and plot points were either glossed over or off page while the things that made it ON page was just inane internal drama that added nothing to any relationship development because three out of four of these characters either don’t communicate or they communicate like teenagers.

Why was Walker so worried about the stability of him and Macklin but he and Ty fucked on their night together… and Ty wasn’t on Walker’s approved list? 🤔 I don’t like that Ty and Walker got together without talking to Macklin first. I understand this series is a bit of a sharing free for all but Macklin and Walker had major issues to work through so maybe do that before you start fucking and dating other people.

Ty Throwing in the TPE with Lane was completely out of the blue and I don’t really understand why the dynamic they had in Florida wouldn’t just work now? It’s an uncomplicated D/s dynamic that worked. Throwing in a whole new dynamic at 75% completely throws the story off. Then Lane spilled all of his feelings to Ty via text and I just… why is all this shit off page or not in person?? Their I love you wasn’t even from either of their perspectives, it was from Macklin’s who was in another room overhearing them. UGH.

And the epilogues were… more filler.

And where was my kinky Cara?!

God. I really hope this was a fluke. I’ve never been more happy for not only a book to be over, but I also really didn’t care about any of their HEA’s by the end. Which is sad because after the last book, I was really looking forward to Walker and Macklin’s marriage patch up and Ty and Lane’s further development. But it was all muddied and chaotic and dramatic and I’m just… pissed.

All the feels in this book as Cara slows the pace down a bit while our delightful foursome sort out just what's going on with them all

That's not to say we don't get any hot and heavy sexy times, because we do, there're two in particular which perfectly demonstrate both the deep need for control and the emotional release achieved through a dose of BDSM and I loved them.

But at the heart of Prowl is the changing dynamics of both Macklin and Walker's relationship together with Ty and Lane's beginning of theirs.

Anyone who's read any of the previous entries in this series knows just how well Cara treats the kink and here it's no different.

Her respectful exploration of Lane's ADHD in combination with his unique kink needs is superbly done.

No plot spoilers here, there's not really much else going on other than the four men sorting out what their future together might look like and this is definitely one of the least angsty and quietly humorous of the series so far.

I'm massively looking forward to the next book now too, given the glimpse we get of where that will be going!

#ARC kindly received from the author in return for an honest and unbiased review.

WOW.

I don't know how Cara Dee manages to do this EVERY SINGLE TIME! Prowl is book 12 of the series and she is STILL delivering the heat, humor, heart break, and swoon worthy romances. Prowl is unlike the other books in this series and I feel like this book really packed more of an angsty punch.

Let me start by saying the first 40% of this book had my stomach in knots!!! I am so in love with Macklin and Walker so seeing them struggle with communication and finding a healthy balance was painful. The moment it all comes to a head and they are forced to speak up or break up was PERFECTION and I was literally in tears. Everything happened for a reason and even though some parts had me feeling unsure it all worked out in the end. I absolutely love that there is no question who each other's primary is.

NOW LET US NOT FORGET ABOUT LANE AND TY!! Lane is a precious angel that needs to be protected at ALL COSTS! Ty is the absolute perfect primary for him but I also absolutely love Macklin's protectiveness over him as well. Poor Lane had no idea what was in store when Ty, Macklin, and Walker were all over him trying to fight the connection. I could listen to Lane and Ty dork out about reptiles forever. Just to be clear.

AND CAN WE ALL DISCUSS HOW DEAN IS EVERYTHING WE NEED AND HOW BADLY I NEED HIS BOOK!!!!!!!!!!!

Loved it! She brought the angst. The best kind - relationship angst that isn't melodrama or manufactured. So although my favorite stories of hers aren't in this series (think If We Could Go Back, Noah, Uncomplicated Choices), this was probably my favorite book from The Game, along with Apex Predator, part 1 to this story.

My expectations were super high for this book. Maybe too high. It was so very long and there was so much set up with very little payoff imo. Lots of key moments were off page which was super annoying and it could have been so much better than it was.

I LOVE the game series. I love all the characters but in this episode everyone was just too whiny and annoying. It was mainly Walker and Macklin trying to figure out their shit and Lane running from Ty. The plot was meh.
I hope this is an anomaly and we get back to our regularly great installment in the next game book. I’m intrigued by Dean and definitely want to know more about him.

Most of this series can easily be read as standalones, but this novel is the second in a duet with Apex Predator (The Game #11). It continues the stories of the second-chance romance between Macklin and his estranged husband, Walker, and the potential new love story between Lane and Ty. Macklin and Lane are dating and have no plans to change that. This might all sound terribly complicated, but Cara Dee is excellent at balancing relationship dynamics while still getting to the heart of the love stories that readers turn to romance of any genera, for. What I really liked about this book, and actually all the books in this series, is that none of the books are the same. They do have some of the same characters wander through all the stories, but each book is devoted to the two or three men, that the story features. They are told in a fluid and nontraditional way with a "happy ever after" for any of Cara Dee’s characters. The vacation we saw played out in Apex Predator, (Book #11), is over and the four guys are returning to their “real world” and have never found it to be more difficult. Walker and Ty are determined to “keep” Macklin and Walker as their men, and we see two more traditional guys turn into a burgeoning friendship...the most vanilla relationship in all the 12 books. It's not by any means a complaint; her character work is so well done that we often find things that might be unexpected, actually working. It’s adorable as well as perfect for these men. The twist that takes place here almost throws a wrench in the works for Macklin and Walker though. However, the difference that Lane and Ty are in the picture is a real joy for everyone in the story. A bit of warning for those that are not really into the BDSM scene...Prowl is one of the spiciest, but least overly kinky, in this entire series. However. it remains true to the continuing theme. We also get to take a heart-warming return to Mclean House as renovations after the fire, near completion. There are also some fantastic cameos from the author's other interconnected series...a real treats for we loyal readers.

reread (3.25/5).

I simply cannot say I agree with my previous rating.

Ty and Walker’s relationship was a bit out of nowhere. I mean, yes, it was implied, but I don’t know, it didn’t feel all that logical. I liked them having a Vanilla relationship though. But seriously, one storm, one night and boom, they’re in a relationship. Doesn’t seem believable.

“We can’t be temporary, Ty. I’m so absurdly drawn to you that I can’t fathom it myself.”

Throughout part III Mack and Walker fight more times that I could count (I’m totally exaggerating but it felt like that). They relapsed into their previous messes and as much as I liked the realness of it all it also did annoy me after a while. Luckily they found common ground after what felt like eternity (again, totally exaggerating).

“We have to make it, Sir. That’s all I had to say. I’m broken without you.”

I wasn’t the biggest fan of the relationships between the four of them, or better said the idea of their relationship. The vanilla, the kink, the poly family — it did seem too complicated for a while but I guess I got the gist in the end anyway.

“Lane’s your de-stressor.” “Exactly.” He smiled up at me. “And I fully support Ty being yours.”

Now onto Lane and Ty. Their story was definitely more to my liking.

“The second time around hadn’t been one-sided, though. And he’d know soon enough that I had plans for us. Our future. He belonged with me. I’d make him see that.”

I liked how Ty and Lane worked things out. They talk a whole lot and the kink really wasn’t priority of the plot, but I can’t say I minded all that much. It fit the story and it’s not like there wasn’t kink at all.

“I can think of nothing worse than waking up one day full of regret because I didn’t give us an honest chance. So…I have no choice. I have to show you the parts I’ve spent the past fifteen years hiding from others.”
“Bring it on, darlin’.”

The end was nice but also a bit underwhelming. I honestly don’t understand my rating from last year. I really don’t.

———

previous rating: 5/5 (and a favourite of 2023).

This was exactly what I wanted.

It was filled with relationship drama, loads of kink, love and all the good stuff I truly needed after „Apex Predator“ which didn’t quite meet my expectations.

The characters, all four of them, developed so damn nicely, especially as their relationship developed into a lovely foursome. I really fell in love with all of them in this book. I could not be happier about that.

I literally have nothing bad to say about this book. I loved it.

Much deeper connections formed here than in the last book and a fascinating insight into the psychological aspects of kinky lifestyles. There was no smut for smuts sake here, a big focus was on the mental aspect of BDSM and how this works for people with ADHD and anxiety. Very interesting. I actually liked Ty a lot as a character in this instalment - he hasn’t been involved in the kink lifestyle for a decade and only saw it as a sexual part of an otherwise vanilla relationship so he has a lot to learn and open his mind about when it comes to people who use it as a lifestyle. I found him far more relatable than any other character of this series so this was a nice change compared to the morbidly fascinated way I view the other characters. I enjoyed the slower pace of this instalment and how the characters felt like real people.

This is the second part of Walker/Macklin & Lane/Ty’s story and it picks up where the previous book ended, with the guys back in DC at the beginning of the year, after their trip to Florida.
I think the biggest surprise for me in this book was how Ty and Walker’s relationship developed. I wasn’t expecting it to be that way and that fast, but it worked because it took the characters by surprise as well. It also allowed some room to explore, even if very marginally, a subject that I would’ve expected to see a bit more of in a series with so many poly relationships: insecurity and jealousy between the partners. I like that things usually go pretty smoothly because all the characters involved are more or less self-aware and good at communicating, but with the exception of Tate and Kingsley, who are definitely not poly so it doesn’t really apply, there haven’t been much growing pains related to that kind of insecurities when it comes to more than two people finding their way into a poly relationship. It was refreshing to see

The other big issue of this book was Lane, his “secret” about where he knew Ty from and I liked how everything was solved with very little (none) drama once Ty found out and all the pieces clicked into place.

One would think that after 12 books we’d be tired of visiting with the same community, waiting like little mice for crumbs looking for glimpses of all our favorite characters, right? Well, no. Not even a little bit. Each book gets better and better with the depth of care and character building Cara Dee does.

Walker and Macklin reacquainting themselves with each other has been a long time coming. This is no easy task and there were times I was truly worried for their future. But these two have a connection that can’t be denied and the real feel of their relationship was so refreshing.

I absolutely adore Lane. His quirks and the way his brain works are so adorable and I love every single thing about him. He starts to let his insecurities get the best of him and I loved the realness of that. Ty was a perfect match for
him and I really liked how these four men all incorporated into one another’s lives.

Cara slows this one down for us and while I am usually all about the kink and steam elements, this one worked perfectly as written. It was nice to step back and see these men just…settle. They all worked for what they wanted and were willing to set boundaries and renegotiate as needed. It really showcased how fluid poly relationships can and should be. I now sit back and eagerly await Dean’s story.

am an avid reader of Cara's books, so I was definitely looking forward to this one. The k!nks listed were super enticing, unfortunately for me it fell flat in regards to actual action and dialogue, versus things being explained to us and inner dialogue. Which, I definitely understand is a certain type of writing style, but compared to books like Breathless, I feel like we got to enjoy less actual scenes between characters, and definitely less of the ~good~ stuff.
Idk, I just would much prefer to hear more about how Shay is recovering from a terrible PTSD trigger, moving on from fighting, and navigating his relationship with River and Reese, characters we already know and love, than to have to read about a character we barely know having a diabetic episode.
Also, as a person with adhd, this book actually made me feel bad about it. I feel that a lot of the talk about Lane's disorder was too intense and clinical, obviously illness is different for everyone, but for him to have serious doubts about a relationship due to ADHD, it wasn't very realistic to me.
Overall, I wanted to skip a lot of this book. The epilogues were disappointing, the talks on limits also got confusing because Walker directly defies the limits Mack says he wants and it's never really addressed? I love polyamory as much as the next person, but pushing Ty and Walker together felt very forced, and cheapened Walker and Macklins relationships A LOT for me. He couldn't get over his husband after four years, but he instantly is drawn to Ty and knows that they have to have a permanent connection?
To me it seems like Dee cared more about her fantasies then what was best for the characters themselves.

I wanted to see Ty and Lane get their HEA.

Instead I got Walker and Macklin behaving like complete selfish immature idiots, Ty and Walker getting together with zero chemistry and not enough Ty and Lane.

Also Walker talking about being the primary partner with Macklin and making such a big deal of it, while also updating his status to a relationship with Ty? In the middle of a fight? Without a heads up to the subs?Assholes the both of them.

Plus zero consideration for how that would make Lane feel?

I did love Ty last book, here not so much. Lane best boy.

Also the irony of Walker and Macklin giving a seminar about TPE. Bitch please

Ps. The way the author keeps using top when they mean dom is driving me nuts. Not all tops are doms. Not all doms are tops. Thank you for coming to my ted talk.

I had to add something about Lane. ”That boy truly is full of it. No one is buying his aloofness.”
“Let’s not buy Macklin’s false confidence either,” he murmured. “We’re coming for them.”
A shudder ran through me, and I nodded once.

What do you get when two tops are locked and loaded in a new partnership, ready to reel in their boys after lots of lose boundaries and grey areas?
PERFECTION. That is what you get. Absolute top tier growly prowly hot perfection.

4.25⭐️ for this SENSATIONAL book 🐙🥵🤌🏽 sunctioncup covered tentacle sex toys and all.

I couldn’t be happier with the way this all played out.
Prowl might be my fav of the series so far, close to / only rivaled by Doll parts because I mean… Noa is unbeatable and his and Cams kink-bro dynamic is next level. I hold them on a high pedestal…. And now I’m come WalkerMacklingTyLane bulldozing their way to the top.

There was so much goodness here - the insecurities in Mack and Walkers marriage finally being resolved; Ty going full steam ahead to get close to Lane, convince him he is worth loving and being himself that his ADHD isn’t a burden. Seeing Lane and Mack calm and comfortable
enough to be themselves in their own close relationship with each other.

The MVP of this book though has to go to my man Ty. He is HILARIOUS. I did not see that coming. The man and his POV was so entertaining, and that was only emphasized more the closer he and Lane became.

This rant is all over the place but so is my brain so forgive me! To sum it up, this book is all goodness and warmth and wrapping up lose ends for guys who deserve it so much.

And… OMG DEAN IS NEXT IM GONNA DIE.

I finished this book in less than 24 hours, so clearly I didn’t *not* like it. But for like 70% of the book these men could not communicate in a healthy way to save their damn lives. I can only take so much “I’m manipulating him for his own good” before I start to lose my sanity. I’m looking at you, Ty and Lane. Why are you enjoying the supposed love of your life going through emotional turmoil?? Also, I’m certainly not an expert on poly relationships, but it feels like Macklin had a solid point about Walker not jumping into a new relationship *and publicizing it on social media* when you’re still trying to find stability with your on-again-off-again husband. The fight they had after that was brutal and Walker was right for a lot of it, but it felt so mean to put Mack through the whole community gossiping about Walker and Ty before Walker and Mack had actually fully gotten back together. I’m happy with where they ended up, but a lot of this book was me just shouting at them to get divorced already.

Hold my poodle....I've got something to say!!! Actually it's not so much say but scream into the unknowable universe and to anyone who will listen that this book is perfection!! This whole series is everything and I can't explain the chokehold it has on me because I'm only focusing on breathing which is a task when you're reading these books.

Macklin, Walked, Ty and beautiful, sweet, sweet Lane own me! I just continued to fall in love with them separately and together the further into the book I got. The highlight of the book for me was when House Mclean had some visitors - I don't think I've ever been so happy while reading a book haha!! It made my freaking day!!

That's it. I loved this book, each book in this series just keeps getting better and better and I know Dean's book is going to blow me AWAY! This series mean the world to me! Now, give me back my poodle!

Amazing.

I adore this series and it was fantastic to pick back up with Macklin, Lane, Ty and Walker again after their trip to Florida. I loved how their relationships all developed and they worked out what they needed from each other going forward.

It is always great to check in with some of the other couples as well and I adored the world that has been created here.

I can’t wait for the next book in the series and this author is quickly becoming a must read favourite of mine!

Again a wonderful WONDERFUL story. These four men made me so happy.
It was such a tremendously written story.
The BDSM was just what I love, the poly relationships were so wonderfully developed, fluid with open minds, with a great dynamic and chemistry.
The warmth, the fun, the emotional parts, everything felt real, honest, and comfortable.
They go after what they want. Sweet Lane stole my heart.

I want to live with them, can I?

I think I need to be done with this series. I actually liked Ty and Lane and I still loved Macklin but Walker can get fucked.

Walker was manipulative and just a bit of a dick. Him and Ty had no chemistry so I was not into that whole weird thing. I’d rather read more about Macklin getting fucked by tentacles than have to read any more about Walker and Ty thank you very much.

I need to read something normal before I permanently alter my brain chemistry.

Prowl is Book 12 of the Game series, and Part 2 of Macklin, Walker, Ty & Lane’s story which started in Apex Predator.

We left off at the end of Apex Predator with our four guys headed back to DC after their whirlwind Florida vacation. As their real lives start to settle back in, Macklin and Walker have to navigate the issues that broke them apart years ago, and find a new balance that won’t send them into another tailspin.

But as Macklin, Walker and Ty try to move forward, Lane is getting ready to run. Unable to see what he adds to their lives, Lane’s insecurities start to drown him. These four have a lot of work to do after the rush of their fantasy week away, but seeing them reach these breaking points and heal from them only makes their dynamic stronger.

Both Prowl and Apex Predator focus on a poly dynamic with primary and secondary partners and navigating jealousy and priorities in a complex relationship.

One of the things I loved most about this book was how rules and boundaries changed throughout. Characters agreed on a limit, then adjusted it together if it wasn’t working for them, which made the relationship feel authentic and real.

I’m so in love with this series, and while Prowl slowed down the pace a little, I loved seeing the relationship developments and dynamics falling in place for these men!

It’s admirable how the characters in this series really feel like real people, they each have their unique personalities and there are a lot of layers and depth to each character. I love getting to know them all and I thoroughly enjoyed finding out what happened after Florida.

There were some twists I didn’t see coming at all but highly enjoyed, I definitely loved seeing Walker and Ty getting to know each other, they were so precious and sweet! There were a lot of discussions and thoughts on dynamics, boundaries and protocol, which I found interesting - this story focused a lot on communication and balance within relationships. Walker and Macklin had a lot to figure out and while it hurt to see their insecurities and fights, I felt like it was necessary for their relationship development.

I’ve always been intrigued by Lane, he’s such an interesting character and I felt so much for him. I totally loved his dynamic with Ty, they were really made for each other and seeing them together was just so wholesome. I hope there will be a lot of scenes with them in the future!

Prowl was an amazing story - the perfect conclusion to the relationships and dynamics that started to take form in Apex Predator, with a few surprises along the way!

I just need to say bravo to Cara Dee for creating such a safe healthy space for these characters to explore and live their lifestyles. Normally I have so much trouble with MMM+ or RH books because I feel like somebody gets left out. Not the case here.
“You know, with our boys already attached, it’s only fair their Owners get to join in too.”
With that said this book picks up where #11 leaves off and that's with Walker & Macklin figuring things out. They have some bumps in the road but I was invested in them making it through with their new dynamic - which includes Ty & Lane.
“Florida Man Seduces Daughter’s Ex-Boyfriend.” I was a Florida Man now. A walking stereotype.
Lane's secret finally comes to light
“I missed you, Daddy. I missed your cock so much—rapefuck me, hurt me.” “Shut up, you twisted little fuck. I’mma lose it too soon.”
And the boys are as kinky as ever. I'm so obsessed with this series.

I was glad that “Prowl” primarily focused on the relationships that Macklin + Walker + Ty + Lane have with one another & I also appreciated the slower pace of this novel (it paired well with what all of the characters were going through).

With that being said — I do wish that this book was a tad bit longer and that more events happened on page (rather than them being referenced after the fact).

Prowl is book twelve in The Game series and the sequel to Apex Predator.

This series has me in a chokehold. Twelve books and I could easily read twelve more. It's such an easy world to fall back into…or just never wanna leave.

We pick right back up where Apex Predator left us, as Macklin, Walker, Ty & Lane return from Florida and their lives fall back into their usual routines…Or do they!

I adore these characters their dynamic is both fire and cute as hell all at once. Plus I love it when we visit House McLean (sorry not sorry to our founders, iykyk) not only because of the realness of the dynamics and how they're portrayed. But we get to see our faves: Like Noa with his sass and River being the grumpy grandpa. Each book in this series while usually focusing on a couple/dynamic always brings more development within the world and the other couples we have previously read out or little teasers of those to come.

I am looking forward to more from this dynamic and of course the next book!

This one was probably the most tame out of any in the series. Like incredibly tame. Maybe I'm desensitized to it now. But it was nice to see more of the couples and their dynamics in this book. Still wild though.

Kinda underwhelming. Missing a lot of the spice I wanted. Lots of talking and reflection, not a lot of momentum. The whole "we're predators on the prowl" thing was really played up and then when it materialized, I was disappointed. Corey's depiction of the autism was really well done, so I was really disappointed in the depiction of ADHD in this book. Looking forward to seeing these characters in the next books.

4.5 stars rounding down.

I LOVED this and especially anything Ty and Lane!!! It was also an amazing treat seeing Ty and Walker bonding. Really Lane, Ty and Ty's banter with Marina really stole the story.

"I just wanted to be near him. I wanted to fuse myself to him and never let go. I wanted to serve him."

"I need to feel like I'm really yours. Like you're really mine. You're supposed to be mine, goddammit."

Walker and Macklin are working on restarting their relationship, avoiding past mistakes, navigating new waters that hid rocks that they stumble on and struggle to not fall into old reactions and patterns. When things hit a boiling point though they come out the winners, right when they were ready to lose it all again.

"Florida Man was on the move."

"If you come at Daddy like a whorish little animal, that's how you'll get treated. Now, get on your toes so I can push deeper."

"Do whatever you want with me, Daddy. You wanna fold me in half? Do it."

Lane is ready to cut and run but Ty comes to DC earlier than planned simply because letting go of Lane isn't in his cards! Seeing Ty going after Lane was everything I hoped for! And so happy that Lane grabbed with both hands what Ty was offering to him. They were so freaking HAWT!!

Another lovely bit was Dean and Walker reconciling and I gotta say I'm hoping to see some Walker/Macklin/Dean action. Wonder too how it'll work what with Dean's story, Hide With Me, and it's own dynamics.

Now for the things I wanted to see but didn't really happen or left me with questions:
- Walker and Macklin. For their part of the story talking half of the book did they really worked on anything? No! Their relationship hardly progressed. For most of it, Macklin and Walker weren't even together at the same place. Walker was stranded at Ty's home, bonding and building something with Ty and when they posted about it, Macklin spiraled and Walker went to him. They fought, almost broke what they started fixing and barely saved it at the last minute. They had sex and that's it. The rest was Walker and Macklin being in Mclean for a demo and most of it was the reconciliation with Dean.

- Ty and Lane. For how ready Lane was to run, he came around pretty quickly especially since not even 24hrs before "the plan" was to happen he told Ty he couldn't be what Ty needed. The how he came around was valid don't get me wrong, but he came around quickly and it didn't seem he really ruminated over it.

- Macklin and Lane. Soooo what the heck happened there? Not only about the crash and burn that was their start and finish of D/s relationship, something that happened prematurely since Ty wasn't, at the moment, in the picture. But whether or not are they still in relationship, secondary to their primary.

So yeah I loved Prowl but it left me with unanswered questions that were pivotal to me to have answers to give this 5 stars.
