Toy. Doll. Plaything. I’ve been called it all. But soon, they’re going to have a new name for me—queen. I am Bellatrix Lauren. I bow for no one. A vacation gone wrong finds me locked up in a mansion with a brooding, aggressive, dangerously sexy man. Sounds like a dream come true, right? Wrong. I’ve been thrown to the sharks. Ren is cruel and domineering, and he’ll stop at nothing to bend me to his ways. But he’s going to realize pretty quickly that I won’t break no matter how hard he tries. Ren isn’t the only one who wants me, however. His rival—the elusive and wickedly handsome Luca—also scents my blood in the water, and he’s coming out to play. Will I continue to swim in a pool full of ravenous, woman-eating sharks? Or will I capitulate and allow these men to take their pound of flesh? Only one thing is certain. I have a choice—swim or die.

Ok. Just a little all over the place. I can’t say I grew any type of emotional connection with any of the characters. It feels like the story wanted to be a dark romance but was too superficial. I honestly wouldnt follow up on any other parts of this series but would like to say the premise of the book had potential it just felt like it was missing something to connect to the reader. I’m not even mad about how unrealistic some the events were especially towards the end, I just did care. A decent little read to pass time.
I enjoyed this story. A good mafia reverse harem where Bellatrix is kidnapped and has to decide whom she'd like to be with, her initial captor, his longtime rival or the rival that swoops in to protect her. Although editing errors stalled my reading at times, it left me wishing it was longer and waiting for the next book.
So not what I was expecting. Insta-lust/love for Trix, Ren,Luca and Baz. Beautifully written, I felt like I was in the beach with Trix. There's obviously a lot more going on and I seriously can't wait for the next one.
