A brand new dark bully romance series from bestselling author Caitlyn Dare.
Full blurb coming soon...
Cruel Devious Heir: part one is a dark high school bully romance. If possessive, rugby playing alphaholes aren't your thing, you probably won't like this book!
Oakley was the bad boy, dirty talker, dominant all the way to whom goody two shoes Tallulah, "Tally," liked to submit. This good girl's speech turned to expletives quick under Oakley's heady spell. And Oakley's claiming, his jealousy were almost feral. Mine. Mine. My favorite of the heroes in this series so far.
On two sides of a power struggle, Tally confronts the schoolelites, Heirs, of which Oakley is a member; chasers, followers of the Heirs; and bullying all the while this couple's attraction was crackling and burned the entire book until an explosive coming together. Spice was 2/5, though, with some hot foreplay throughout. Oakley had the moves.
No dark and, in fact, all consensual -- they were very much into each other -- this book mostly focused on their intense magnetism, the dynamics of their contrasting, but fundamentally similar personalities. Declaring war on the Heirs from past hurt with Oakley, Tally decides to take them on, believing in universal altruism, but she secretly liked and wanted Oakley. Meanwhile, for Oakley, Tally's presence assuaged his thoughts of disappointing others, helping him. Some other woman and light other man drama, mainly to spark jealous reactions from Oakley, it stoked their passion for each other.
Dual, first-person point of view, the story was a progressive pace and keep me intrigued the entire time. I also liked the side characters, their influences on the main characters’ interactions as well as some hints of upcoming romances. Liv and Reese were so fun from books 1 and 3 with their sardonic ribbing, particularly Reese. Also, I can’t wait for Elliot and Ani's story.
Not too painful, the cliffhanger was a bit predictable founded on communication and supposition themes, but overall, a very entertaining read. Favorite couple yet in this world.
This writing duo is one of my absolute favorites, and they really prove that here with this book. The feels, steam, the edge of your seat suspense, the duplicity.. it was all top-notch!
I'm not usually the biggest fan of enemies-to-lovers, but with Oakley and Tally, I never stood a chance. They are opposites in every single way, and they shouldn't fit for obvious reasons, but yet they just do. And once they really get to know each other, they find at their core that they aren't so different after all.
This is a duet, so obviously it ends on a cliffy, and i cannot wait for more! I miss Oakleys possessive behavior and dirty mouth, and the way Tally is never afraid to do what's right. I just really love these two!!
**I received an ARC of this book and these are my honest opinions**
Cruel Devious Heir is the start of the next duet in the Heirs of All Hallows series. This storyline centers around Tally and Oakley. Tally is all about doing the right thing and she h3tes everything the Heirs of All Hallows represent. They are Rich, Arrogant, Entitled, Mean and Vindictive. The only reason Tally tries to be cordial is because her friend Olivia is the twin sister to her nemesis Oakley Beckworth.
Oakley walks the halls basking in everybody's worship. Rugby playing, Rich boy who makes his own rules and he has his sights set on Miss Prim and Proper Tally. He has every intention on ruining her for trying to go against him and the other Heirs.
Oakley and Tally has been at each other's throat since book 1 of Jealous Filthy Heir and they just keeps going full steam ahead. When Tally makes a recommendation to turn the Heirs party grounds into a wellness center for students she became public enemy #1.
Oakley and the other Heirs declared war on Tally and she immediately became an enemy of the entire student body. She was bullied, humiliated and deemed an outcast but somewhere along the way Oakley went from Tormentor to Protector.
Although Tally has reminded her recommendation someone is still out to get her. Now that the lines are blurred between her and Oakley's feud, Tally stands to lose more than her friends, reputation and integrity. She maybe in jeopardy of losing her heart.
This book ends on a Cliffhanger and I can't wait to see how everything comes full circle.
I could’ve done without the H’s attitude thinking he’s Gods gift to the world. The h was okay, a little meek and a whole lot submissive to the H. If he touched her then she was putty in his hands. He called her a dirty whore several times and she thought it was so hot. I was kind of over it. I don’t know how they fall for each other. The H does a great job at hating her, calling her names, etc.
THE ENDING *crying*, this book was great, I love Tally, she's such an awesome person and she's way too stubborn for her own good, which reminds me of myself.
I almost murdered Oakley a couple of times but he's so cute especially when he's simping for Tally, but there are moments where you might seriously wanna strangle the living shit out of him.
The damn CLIFFHANGER is gonna be the end of me, it ended in the most heartbreaking scene, and I cannot wait for book 2, and I seriously hope they get what they deserve .
Oakley proves again and again that he is a Cruel Devious Heir, and yet all he did was make me love him more. Cruelty is part of his personality, but the darkest, most devious parts are reserved for Tally. The way the Heirs of All Hallows’ series is playing out, this is looking to be a new favorite by this duo and an excellent addition to my all-time favorite series.
Tally has spent her life with her head down. She’s been in the shadows of the halls of All Hallows, not really caring what others thought of her. She likely would have remained that way, but the moment she went up against the Heirs, she painted a target on her back.
If all those students thought their vile words and vindictive threats would make the "goody two shoes" of All Hallows' cower, they were mistaken. They couldn’t have been more wrong. This girl had more strength than all the Heir Chasers combined. She appeared to be a meek and shy good girl, but she was so much more than that.
Oakley was exactly what you'd expect. He was cruel, devious, brimming with vengeance, and vibrating with rage. On a good day, that's him. Throw in a girl who has set her sights on a location where he and the other heirs have been waiting for the moment it was their turn. His level of seething cruelty goes through the roof. When he focuses his vicious cruelty on one girl, toxic words mixed with dubious devious touches become his new favorite game.
Oakley is going to be hard for the following heirs to outdo when it comes to his epic alpha-holness. I don’t think the heirs would mind that label or outdoing one another to claim the "2023 alpha-hole" title. If that’s not a thing, it should be.
The chemistry between Oakley and Tally is pure, unrestrained fire. Which is pretty fitting because even though they both know they are going to be burned, no matter how hard they try, they can’t stop. The two of them are like an inferno caught in a windstorm, burning with passion and leaving destruction and chaos. Not only the hot AF steam, but also the way Oak seemed to feed Tally's obsessive need with cruel words and devious touches Tally did the same, but it was her strength and resilience that fueled his need to consume her.
Tally and Oak's every emotion floods your veins, which can be overwhelming at times. Sure, they are who people believe them to be, but they are both more than that, and the weight of who they are is sometimes too much to bear. The betrayal Oak felt by the actions of those closest to him has done irreparable damage to his soul, and they are so focused on one another they don’t even see it. The weight of others' expectations somehow blotted out the chance for Tally to find her own way. My heart ached for the two of them, and while they may have been complete opposites in some ways, it was no wonder they were so drawn to one another.
Cruel Devious Heir is the hottest read of 2023. An all-consuming blend of an inferno of chemistry, a devious alpha-hole, an innocent yet sassy heroine, cruel words, vicious lies, and petty chasers will have your head spinning, all while your heart is racing and your kindle and panties are melting. From the hot AF steam to that "wtf" ending, once you read the first word, you’ll be as addicted to Oak and Tally as they are to each other.
Straight away we have got the sense that something is about to happen. Tally is being warned against what she is about to do, but she goes ahead and does it anyway.
To her, she has done the right thing, but to everyone else, she has just declared war. Tally wants to help her fellow students, but in order to do this, she is trying to take something away from the Heirs, and nobody wants that. Right away she is labelled the outcast and bullied relentlessly.
But she wants to make them pay, especially Oakley and you get the sense that there is or was something between them. Does she really think she is doing the right thing? Or is she doing this out of spite?
Oakley cannot believe that Tally has the nerve to go after what is rightfully theirs and wants to see her taken down a peg. Whilst he isn't always the one doing the bullying, he makes no moves to stop it either and it is relentless. But Tally steels her spine and doesn’t let anything faze her.
There have been stolen moments between Tally and Oakley and you can see that both of their resolves are weakening. They are enemies, they shouldn’t be feeling the things they do.
As we progress through the book, we are starting to see a different side to Oakley, one even his friends are concerned about. Whilst he does come across as an arrogant jerk, is this all a façade? Are both he and Tally the same? Cut from the same cloth, where the apple doesn’t fall far from the tree and they have the pressure to do what is expected of them? Is it too much? Will the pressure be enough to see either of them break?
Oakley starts to see Tally as different, she's strong and he can't stop thinking about her and Tally is starting to wonder if they can have something real.
I have to wonder why it was that Tally started her campaign to begin with and hope that she really did do it for the good of the students and nothing else. She is a strong character and doesn’t let things get to her, but there is only so much that one person can take.
All too soon things turn upside down, and then…….we are left on a cliff hanger!! Let's hope we find out what is really going on and Oakley and Tally can put aside the fact they are supposed to be enemies and go after what they both really want!

“Oakley Beckworth is trouble with a capital T, but I want to walk on the dark side. To relinquish my power and hand him the reins. It feel almost as natural as breathing. It feels…right.”
Cruel Devious Heir- Part One is the third book in the Heirs Of All Hallows’. The Heirs are beloved, worshiped, idolized, and have their futures mapped out. They are the leaders of tomorrow and they revel in the debauchery of it. And, Tallulah Darlington has had enough. Oakley Beckworth is determined to prove that Tallulah fucking Darlington isn’t as perfect as everyone thinks she is. Only he doesn’t count on how affected he is by her. And, with one taste the addiction is real. Oakley’s dominance calls to Tally. The push and pull between them consumed me as I read all the pages because I couldn’t stop. The angst and tension oozes off the pages as does all the build up of steam.
Tallulah (Tally) believes in using your platform to fight injustice and speak up on issues that are important. But, when she as Head Girl announces the campaign for this year’s student voice, turning the Heirs Chapel into the new student welfare facility, she turns herself into public enemy number one.
Oakley just wants to enjoy their last year as Heirs. And, Tally is plain ruining it for them. He needs Tally to drop the campaign. It seems no amount of retaliation by the Heir chasers can break her down. But, it starts to get to him. She is under his skin.
The Darlingtons and Beckworths have been on opposite sides for years, the father’s courtroom enemies, and the hate has been ingrained. Their parents would never accept a relationship between them. But , this pull they feel towards one another is strong.
But, will it be strong enough to withstand what is already in motion?
An opposites attract at its best! The Heirs have been challenged by none other than the Head Girl, Tallulah Darlington, that means it's gloves off at All Hallows and Tally needs to watch her back.
Oakley and Tally have tons of friction throughout this book, which is one aspect of Tally's fight. The other part of it is she's always stood up against injustice and to her the Heirs are one boys club of patriarchal douchecanoes. She wants to shut down the system and turn their clubhouse into a mental health and wellness clinic, something that could benefit the entire student population, not just a few entitled rich boys. As great as this sounds, and it truly does, sadly the student population sides with the Heirs and their partying ways, that means Tally is enemy #1 and the Heirs only have to sit back and watch the rest of All Hallows do their dirty work for them.
While Tally gets bullied by basically everyone around her, she's also fighting Oakley on a personal and emotional basis. This girl is one of the strongest girls that Caitlyn has written yet and that's saying something because she's written some really amazing women. Tally seriously doesn't back down from anyone and I love that about her. While I do question her digging her heels in at times, I also commend her for sticking to her guns, not many people have her kind of courage and I like that spirit.
Oakley took a bit longer to fall into his groove. His character development was a slower process, but isn't that the same for most men in our lives, late emotional bloomers. While I disliked Oakley, even back in his sisters book, I actually like that it progressed to me warming up to him throughout the course of this book and I actually like the guy now. Who knew that would happen?!
This is just the first part of Tally and Oakley's story and it does end on a bit of an emotional cliffhanger so I'm looking forward to finding out what happens next.
One - if you haven't read the first 2 books in this series I highly recommend reading them because they are amazing and you get to know all the characters that continue to show up in each book. Two - I 150% recommend reading this book (I would go higher in percentages but didn't want to seem to dramatic). This series is killing me (in the best of ways, of course) with each depraved activity, all the steam, the guys who just don't give a care in what people think and so much more!!!
I have been looking forward to reading Oakley & Tallulah's story since finishing Filthy Jealous Heir, wondering how these enemies could get past their grievances with each other and I must say they set my kindle on fire. But not without many issues the main one being Tallulah being dead set against "The Heir's" getting all the special treatment they receive at their school, All Hallows. I loved how strong Tallulah was in the face of others while being public enemy #1 at school. Not only that when faced with an attacker she is able to hold her own and protect herself. This is one girl you want to be! Oakley is depraved, filthy, sexy, hurting mentally and finds himself wanting to not only take down Tallulah but also finds her sexy and wants her in ways he shouldn't and wants to protect her which makes him even more confused. You just can't help but want these two to get together!
Cruel Devious Heir is a enemies to lovers, forbidden romance with lots of steam, angst, bullying, drama and has a surprise ending you won't see coming. This book ends in a cliffhanger but please don't let this stop you from reading this book / series and has several triggers but if you are good with this then get to reading, you won't be disappointed. Happy Reading!!!
• Enemies to Lovers • Opposites Attract • Virgin Heroine • Good Girl/Bad Boy
Cruel Devious Heir is a duet. This book is the first part of the duet and is the third book in the All Hallows series. This duet focuses on Tally and Oakley.
Tallulah “Tally” Darlington is a good girl. “Prim and proper” as Oakley likes to say. Oakley Beckworth is a bad boy and an Heir. The Heirs are rugby players and basically run the school. Tally and Oakley are complete opposites and are constantly butting heads. Tally wants to do away with the power the Heirs have, and Oakley is intent on fighting her every step of the way.
The angst between these two is everything. The more Tally fights against the Heirs and Oakley, and brushes off everything they dish out, the more Oakley is utterly drawn to her. He has always seen her as prim and proper and even calls her “Prim.” The more Oakley spends time with her in his attempts to thwart her plans, he begins to fall for the fire he sees in her.
Tally has her life planned out for herself and is in control all the time. Her way of letting lose is having a bake off. As she and Oakley spend time together, she begins to realize she enjoys the lack of control she feels whenever she’s around him. And Oakley is only too happy to help her lose control.
I really loved the character development with these two. Once they get to know each other, they’re not that much different after all. They both are being what they are expected to be, when it’s not what they really want. I felt that discovery was the turning point in their growing relationship.
And the steam! HOT, HOT, HOT!! I really LOVED the steam. Oakley is the dirty talking Alphahole I want whispering dirty nothings in my ear.
Since this is a duet, there was a cliffhanger, so the road to Tally and Oakley’s HEA got a little bit bumpy. I can’t wait to read the next book.
The Heirs of All Hallows' series is pure depravity and debauchery. Caitlyn Dare never holds back and no one can deliever a deliciously toxic, DARK romance like this duo! So Cruel Devious Heir does not disappoint. CDH is part one of a duet that is a dark high school bully romance set in the Heirs of All Hallows' world. If possessive, rugby playing alphaholes are your thing... Buckle up and enjoy the ride! Bc this story has lots of steam, angst, bullying, drama and has a surprise ending you won't see coming.
𝙃𝙚𝙧𝙤/𝙃𝙚𝙧𝙤𝙞𝙣𝙚 = Oakley Beckworth and Tallulah (Tally) Darlington 𝘾𝙡𝙞𝙛𝙛𝙝𝙖𝙣𝙜𝙚𝙧 = Yes 𝙎𝙩𝙖𝙣𝙙𝙖𝙡𝙤𝙣𝙚 = Yes. This is part 1. When Tally becomes the 'head girl'... she sets out the take down & challenge the Heirs. And in the wake of take down.. she becomes enemy #1 and is then bullied by almost the entire student body.. bc we know that no one goes against them. The more Tally stands her ground & fights back, Oakley becomes more intrigued, more obsessed with her.
The Darlington and Beckworth families have been enemies so the hate between them has been ingrained. But even so... there is still something they cant ignore.. there is this pull & an intense attraction they feel towards one another.
Going into this book, I wasn't sure how I felt about Oakley. Out of all the Heirs, he was the least I was interested in while reading through Reese and Olivia's story. I was proven wrong, though.
The further I got into this book, the more it surprised me with how much I started to enjoy Oakley's character. He was nothing like the fun playboy we met in Filthy Jealous Heir. His character has much more depth than i originally thought. And, omg, that dirty mouth of his should be illegal. 🤤
With Tallulah's character, I wasn't sure what to expect with her short, surprising introduction as Olivia's friend. You got the vibe that she was going to be a royal b****, but in actuality, she was so sweet and truly devoted to the things she believed in. Her passion and innocence really shines through in the things and people she loves.
When she declares war against the Heirs, all h*** breaks lose in the school. The Heir chasers make poor Tally's life miserable, but she never lets it show. She holds her head high and takes every blow that is thrown her way.
Oakley is there watching it all transpire. The more she pushes, the more his obsession with her grows. Then, when he decides, standing on the sidelines is no longer working for him and goes for what he wants. There's no stopping him.
I am so obsessed with this series and that obsession has absolutely continued with Oakley and Tally's story. The banter is so good and I love both of these characters to pieces. The side characters are also so good and Caitlyn already has me excited for Elliot and Theo's stories, which I really hope include Abi and Charli.
I really love Tally. She is so confident and strong and determined to stick to her values. The fact that she doesn't even curse unless Oak is touching her in all the right ways just unalives me, it's so perfect for her character. I was really nervous how her standing up to them and not being willing to back down was going to work for the long haul of their relationship, but we get a small resolution there and it doesn't seem like it's going to be an issue down the road for her and her morals or him and his pride. I want her to submit to him, but not in a way that's going to make her lose respect for herself.
I'm really curious to see what part Deacon plays in part two. He was a great villain in part one, I loved hating him and Misty too. We get quite the cliffhanger as we ended this story and I can't wait to see where this story takes us. I'm so ready for a good mystery and some suspense as I'm positive it's not who Tally believes it to be. Plus, it's time to watch the downfall of the latest top heir chaser.
This story is deeper and slightly darker than the previous duet.
Oakley is a character with many facets. On the outside, nothing touches him and he is always in for a fun time. But inside him, he is a hurting young man. He didn’t feel seen and feels unworthy because of all he has done and stands for. So he put it all down the only way that worked for him. Only in the process he moves further and further away from Liv, his twin.
Tally isn’t a fan of the heir and all they stand for, so she built a campaign. But not only to get the heirs riled up, but as an additional reason. It just backfires at her, standing the whole student body behind their kings. So, Tally gets the worst treatment and bullying. And it gets only worse from week to the next.
Despite her being on the opposite side, Oakley feels himself drawn to her. Which he despises as much as she intrigues him.
So a dance in the dark begins between them, both don’t can withdraw. The push and pull, attraction and desire. Lines getting blurred. And when they seem to find common ground, things get out of hand. And Tally finds all her doubts conformed. Obviously. Or… not? Can’t wait for part two.
OMG Oakley and Tally are everything! Cruel Devious Heir was so good.
Tally and Oakley are like day and night, oil and water but there is this crackling chemistry between the two that they can't deny. Tally is still hell bent on taking down the Heirs and everything they stand for. Unfortunately this puts her in the crosshairs of the Heir chasers and they do everything in their power to make her life unbearable. This combined with the fact that their fathers are on opposite sides of the court make it next to impossible for them to be together. Throw in a heap of trust issues and they may be doomed before they can even really start.
The entire time I'm reading I'm going back and forth on whether or not they can figure out a way to be together. There are so many obstacles in their way that it seems impossible for them to make it work. I was on the edge of my seat not able to put it down just so I could see what happens next. And then the cliffhanger hits and I'm still sitting here trying to work out what will happen next.
I am so in love with this book it's not even funny, I don't know how I'm going to hold out until the end of March. Obviously it's ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ and combine Oakley's dirty mouth with the chemistry between the two and the spice is amazing! 🌶🌶🌶🌶
I have absolutely been loving this series it captivates you and pulls you into the story from the first chapters. This is Oakley story, and his character has always come off as a hot head alpha jock who gets what he wants when he wants it. Tally is the prim proper girl who is only interested in making sure she gets into a good university. She is angry at Oakley for something that happened between them and is determined to take the heirs down. She is in for a wild ride as they won't take the threat laying down. Tally goes through hell with the heir chasers and torment she gets from everyone. Oakley's character starts to change and his feelings for Tally open up a side of him I didn't think we would see in this book, but it made me love his character. They both fight the attraction, but he is the one who won't let it go. She is scared of what their families will do and how people will treat her. He just wants her. This story is fast paced and will keep you on the edge of your seat throughout the whole story. I never saw that cliff hanger coming and OMG what is happening can things really take that crazy turn. I can't wait to find out what is going to happen. Fantastic series so worth the read. I was given this book as an ARC for my honest review.
I haven't read a book by Caitlyn Dare that I haven't Loved. Cruel Devious is the second Duet of the Heirs of All Hallows. This one picks up a few weeks after the end of Filthy Heir Part 2. You don't need to read the first duet, but it will help with some of the back story.
Tallulah (Tally) is the goody two shoes of All Hallows, as the head girl she wants to do something for the good of all students. This brings the whole school down on her, including the Heirs. Oakley is a self absorbed bad boy and Heir. As Heir he believes he is above all others and can do no wrong. They could not be more different from each other but when together, they are perfect for one another.
On the outside Oakley is rich, mean and entitled but with Tally he is jealous, controlling and protective. Tally shows him she is no pushover and can stand her ground. As much as these two clash, they also work. I can see Oakley being a fierce protector and lover to Tally once they get past their own issues. There are too many secrets being kept for them to truly trust one another. With secrets comes assumptions. Assumptions lead to misunderstanding that can make or break a relationship. I for one can't wait for part two to see what happens with the couple.
Cruel Devious Heir is book one of a duet but book 3 in the Heirs of All Hallows series. If you haven’t read the first two…I highly recommend you read them. Reese and Liv are just amazing!!
This one is a opposite attract, enemies to lovers, good girl/bad boy. It’s full of angst and steam.
Oakley is our MC. He’s a Heir and boy did we see a different side of this man in this book. He was more down to earth and fun in the first two books this one he’s more complex. But I love him. Tally!!! She’s the FMC and couldn’t be more different from Oakley if she tried. They bring the term opposite to a whole new level.
I loved this book from the first page. I binge read it. Oakley has my heart. Their is something about this character I can’t help but love. The sparks fly between these two.
Their story is different. It literally starts out as a war between them and only grows from there.
Now I think I say it after the end of every Caitlyn Dare book!!!! They are the queens of cliffys!!!!! This cliffhanger is no different. I was angry finishing this book but in the best way. I don’t want to know how it ends….I need to know how this story will play out. I need the second part of this duet like yesterday and can’t wait for it. I highly highly recommend this one. It’s a 5 out of 5 ⭐️ read hands down!
I was anxiously waiting for this release…and it did NOT disappoint. We knew Oakley’s story was coming. And I’m here for it!
Tally Darlington is the enemy. In every since. Her father and is Oakley’s dads rival. And the two have grown up at odds. But when Tally takes a stand against the Heirs, Oakley wants to ruin her. Little does he know, she is so much more than he expected.
Oakley Beckworth was the LAST person Tally thought would get under her skin. He’s everything she hates. But something about him has her head messed up and she can’t stop. His touch alone elicits feelings she has never had. But is all just a ploy to lure her in and break her? Or could it be more? She almost believes him…but then…
Yep. This book. The cliffhanger. I screamed. I couldn’t turn the page fast enough and then it was just over. Luckily we don’t have to wait long.
I absolutely love this series. We still have the background characters we love so much. I’m getting a feeling about Ali and Elliot. Trust me when I say, once you start this, you won’t put it down.
Caitlyn Dare’s “ Cruel Devious Heir” is a definite must read!
My Review ⤵️
I am so excited about this series, it’s everything you could want in a dark bully story.
Caitlyn Dare has given us yet another cast of multilayered characters that are definitely more than what you think and it just makes you more connected than you probably should be. Oakley and Tally have so many things stacked against them, so many reasons why they shouldn’t be together and yet the connection they share just might be too much to resist.
This is the first book in Oakley and Tally’s story so don’t look for that HEA because you aren’t going to get it, but what you do get is an angsty book that leaves you with more questions than answers, but we also get the promise of more from this world and this cast of characters which is so exciting! I love Caitlyn’s books, they are always a bit dark, but they always surprise me with more. You have to read these in order, so go start this now!
This first part of Oakley and Tallys’ duet is full of angst. Tally is a social justice warrior hell bent on improving student wellbeing. In order to do so has decided to take on everything the heirs stand for making her public enemy number 1 in the eyes of the student body. The question is has she done this for the right reasons…
With reference to an incident between her and Oakley we know he hurt her somehow but she’s kept that to herself, and as for Oakley he appears to be heading down a path of his own self destruction. Still adjusting to his best friend and his sisters relationship, as well as tiring of the attention the heirs get from the girls of Al Hallows he seems to find something real with Tally. Though as hard as he tries to fight it the harder he seems to fall without realising. What began as a way to mess with her for trying to take the heirs down has rapidly developed into something else…..
Ending on a cliffhanger who knows where part 2 will take us and I can’t wait….like I need it now cos I’m so invested in these two….
I so loved Tally and Oakley's story! After meeting them in Reese and Olivia's story I knew I had to know their whole story.
I actually really liked Tally. She stood up for what she believed was right and even with all the push back she refused to budge. That was really admirable. She was totally put though the ringer and I was impressed with her tenacity. She was a likeable character who, for me, was easy to relate to.
Oakley was a little juvenile at times but I liked the growth he showed. I love the change he showed with Tally. I can't wait to see how his feelings develop in the next book. He had some great banter moments with Tally thanks to his smart mouth.
I loved the story line and the suspense. The mystery and angst at the end was fantastic. I really enjoyed getting to see Reese and Olivia again and getting to know a little more about Theo and Elliot. I really can't wait for the next book!! I would definitely recommend Cruel Devious Heir!
I have been so invested in this series since the prequel and I am still so completely invested! Caitlyn Dare is bringing the drama with these books.
Cruel Devious Heir is a dark enemies to lovers that leaves you on a cliffhanger wanting more! I enjoyed this book, I think these characters bring so much to life that I wasn't expecting. I thought it was well written. Theses characters are twisted but then you also have the innocent. Oakley, even though he frustrates me sometimes, he definitely know his dirty talk. He is the type you love to hate. I love Tally! I think she is so interesting and really feels like something different and special. These two are steamy and I live for them.
I’m also very excited and sitting on the edge of my seat to see how the rest plays out. I don't want to even guess because I don't think I will be correct. I am enjoying this world so much I keep wanting more. I definitely recommend this book and this series!
Cruel Devious Heir will be a duet but is book three in the Heirs of All Hallows' series. This duet focuses on Tally and Oakley. Tally and Oakley are enemies, just like their fathers are enemies because they fight on the opposite side of the court room.
When I started reading this book, I honestly did not think I was going to like Tally or Oakley. I thought Tally was too good and a bit annoying and Oakley was just frustrating, mean, and immature. As I read and their characters developed, I ended up really liking both of them. Both Tally and Oakley, try to be who they are expected to be and hide parts of themselves from everyone around them. There is definitely a lot of tension between them and I can't wait to see what else Caitlyn Dare has planned for them in the second part of this duet.
The ending of this book made me a little anxious so I am excited we don't have to wait too long for the next book! If you enjoy enemies to lovers then you definitely need to give this book a try.
Tally has always tried to avoid the wrath of the Heirs but all it will take is one action to have her declared as their sworn enemy. She finds herself being on the receiving end of their attempts to make her life difficult, but she isn’t about to back down from anyone or anything and that includes Oakley.
Oakley is on a mission to ensure that Tally knows she has crossed a line and must now pay the price. What started as a quest for revenge turns into so much more when not only does she infuriate him but she intrigues him as well.
The characters draw you in as Tally’s strength and resilience shines through while we realize that there is so much more to Oakley than we expected. The hot chemistry and angst leads usp to a cliffhanger that leaves us wanting more of them and their story
Oh my gosh! Oakley is so much more than. What I was expecting. In the first two books I honestly couldn't stand him. But he definitely redeems himself in his own story. The demons he struggles with give you a better understanding into who he is .
Now tally has always done everything by the book straight an narrow but enjoys tiny things in life .. give her a little bit of Oakley & she's bursting to explore so much more ! I feel like with time ans the next part of their story , that these two will really even each other out . Oak showing tally how to live and tally showing Oakley that it's ok to not always be in that top spot . I can't wait to see what comes next for these two . I think I know whose behind the you know what. My heart aches that tally really believes Oakley is behind it.
Cruel Devious Heir (Part 1) by Caitlyn Dare is the 3rd book in the Heirs of All Hallows’ series which is not complete.

Loved. I was so looking forward to these two when I read the first duet and I was not disappointed. Between family obligations and school these two are always against each other and I loved the push and pull both of them were fighting. Then there are so many enemies you don’t know where to look when something goes wrong… I loved it. I need the next book though!! ⛔️ Cliff Hanger Warning ⛔️
✨He’ll never change. And neither will I. I’m not sure I can stay away from him, though. Because the truth is, I don’t want to.✨
Tallulah Darlington has always hated the Heirs of All Hallows’ and what they stand for. But this time it’s personal. This time, she’s determined to knock Oakley Beckworth and the Heirs off their thrones. Until Oakley changes the game and the lines start to blur. And suddenly her reputation isn’t the only thing on the line… Her heart is too.
Oakley and Tally were such a good read. I was instantly addicted to their push and pull.
Much like the previous books in this series, the minute I started reading everything else around me ceased to exist. To say I devoured this book would be an understatement.
From teasing banter to silent rendezvous, from addictive touches to fighting for justice; I felt like I was getting whiplash from the power exchanges happening in this book. It was amazing, consuming, and gone all too quickly.
And, Oof! That cliffhanger was deliciously devious. I am super excited to see where their story heads next.
Is it wrong to say I feel bad for Oakley? I feel like we are in for a wonderfully wicked ride in the second part of their story. A woman scorned is always a vengeful creature. I can't wait to see what Tally has in store for us!
