Fiery Affection book #4 of the DeLuca Crime Family by E. C. Land is an intense dark Mafia romance story full of danger, power and control, violence, betrayal, lies, secrets, obsession and love.

Nicolo Abruzzi is an Enforcer for the DeLuca Crime Family and has been sent by Mia and Scarlett without his boss's knowledge that he needs to check out a young woman named Avah whom they met at Brothers Shack Bar as they fear she is in trouble. Avah Morgan is a bartender/photographer who is strong, determined and sassy who is living her life away from her father who is in organized crime as she wants not part of that life. Not knowing if her father found her, she is receiving notes and intimate lingerie by an unknown sender which has her on edge. When she encounters Nicolo everything she thought she didn't want in her life will change her forever.

When sexy dangerous, alpha Nicolo enters the bar he is instantly attracted to Avah and begins to have a conversation with her. As they introduce themselves to each other, Avah is wondering if he is a criminal when he steps in and drives off some customers who are hitting on her. When he sees she is shaken when a box was sent to the bar he takes the card that was attached and now is determined to find out who is stalking her. Nicolo is trying to convince himself that protecting her is all he is doing, but the feelings she is bringing out in him has him wanting her. Now he has to prove to her he is the good guy as her stalker is becoming more aggressive, will she listen to him when he tells her she is in danger? Will she run from him when she learns who he is connected to when her father's right hand man and Nicolo meet? As Nicolo learns that El Cabeza is after her will she finally believe her life is in danger? Will she listen to her heart and give herself to Nicolo? Now these two begin a relationship that is erotic, explosive, full of passion and desire as Nicolo and Avah become more entwined. Will they be able to walk away once the danger is over?

How far will Nicolo be able to go to help Avah without Leo and Christian finding out, will he be starting a war with not only El Cabeza Gang but the Lowlanders. This is thirty-four year old, De Luca enforcer Nicolo Abruzzi, twenty-three year old bartender/photographer Avah Morgan’s story line. FIERY AFFECTION can be read as a stand alone without any difficulty. Any important information from the previous story lines is revealed where necessary..

Told from dual first person perspectives (Avah and Nicolo) FIERY AFFECTION follows in the wake of a possible stalker. Avah Morgan have been receiving anonymous gifts and notes, and without her knowledge her friends have tasked Nicolo Abruzzi with her protection but all does not go according to plan as Avah refuses to listen to Nicolo Abruzzi, suspecting he is part of the local Mafia, something of which she wants nothing to do. Avah Morgan is a little bit TSTL, and struggling to accept her life is in danger, is constantly placing herself in the direct line of fire. As Nicolo and his ‘associates’ begin to search for the truth, connections to her father’s past, the Lowlanders and the El Cabeza Gang, begin to form a pattern. What ensues is the quick and highly sexual relationship between Nicolo and Avah, and the potential fall-out as, once again, Avah refuses to accept she is the target of some powerful men.

The relationship between Avah and Nicolo begins when Nicolo finds himself at the bar where Avah works. Avah is in trouble but refuses to accept the danger is darker than Nicolo warns but in an effort to prove she is independent and old enough to be on her own, Avah finds herself struggling to survive. Nicolo Abruzzi doesn’t do relationships but he is desperate to protect the woman with whom he is falling in love. Having to claim Avah as his own, Nicolo must not only face the wrath of her father, but the people taking aim at our story line heroine. The $ex scenes are provocative and intense.

There is a large ensemble cast of secondary and supporting characters including Theo and Blake (Frozen Kiss), Mia and Christian (Heated Caress) and Scarlett De Luca (Simmering Embrace), as well as Avah’s bosses Rhett, and Gregory. The requisite evil has many faces.

FIERY AFFECTGION is a story of power and control, betrayal and vengeance, secrets and lies, obsession and madness, acceptance and love. The fast paced premise is gritty and intriguing; the romance is limited to $ex and protection; the characters are dangerous and dark.

Fiery Affection is Nicolo Abruzzi, the De Luca enforcer's story. Asked by the bosses wives to watch out a new friend of theirs. Avah Morgan is new to town and she has a stalker.

Nicolo is a natural protector. He is quick to take care of Avah. I love Nicolo's struggle to tow the line as an obedient employee and his need for Avah. There are so many possible people stalking Avah. Many of them could lead to drawing the De Luca into war.

Avah was a bit airy but I attribute that to her age and bring sheltered growing up. She dreams of the white picket fence with the husband working 9 to 5. Nicolo is anything but that man. She is struggling to deal with the information that he is Mafia.

Good read that held my attention. Even the chemistry between the couple is st€amy. The mystery of who is the stalking kept me guessing.

She’s not in the business but the controlling behaviors leave Avah fed up. Avah has two jobs that she enjoys and a stalker that she doesn’t. Her friends happen to be the wives of the De Luca mafia family. The life Avah is trying so hard to get out of. The girls put the De Luca’s enforcer on the job to make sure that Avah is safe.

Nicolo Abruzzi is part of the De Luca family. It is his life. Their was an instant attraction between Avah and Nicolo. Though their relationship was inevitable, it was also temporary. Avah didn’t want to be involved with the life Nicolo was loyal to.

This book contains a lot of elements. Will Nicolo find Avah’s stalker before they get Avah? Will Nicolo change his life for a woman? Will Avah go back to the life she ran away from to be with Nicolo? So much going on.

Her father is in the mafia but she wanted nothing to do with that so she left and is now living the life she wants. But there someone is stalking her which has her on edge. Nicolo is an enforcer for the De Luca family. He may be big, broad, strong, and pure Alpha but as soon as he sees Avah something inside melts and he instantly knows he will protect her at all cost. But will Avah accept his help and protection? After all he is everything she did not want in her life.
I enjoyed this story and the characters. It has a nice blend of emotion, family, friends, suspense, action, some violence, a lot of smexy hot passion and sizzling chemistry.

Nicolo was asked by Scarlett and Mia to watch over a new friend of theirs who worked within a rival's territory...so he did as he was asked and met Avah, a drop-dead gorgeous young woman who worked as bartender and a photographer...but their chemistry was off the charts, so he asked her out...since not part of family business didn't tell Theo or Leo, the DeLuca bosses...but on getting to know Avah, discovers her father is connected to the Low Country gang but not the DeLuca's and he wanted his twenty-three year old daughter to return to California and marry mob son of his choosing...Avah's not having it, even after she finds that Nicolo being in security is mob related which she left behind...but she has a stalker and he is just keeping her safe...right??? Avah is just trying to distance herself from her father's mafia dealings and live a normal life taking her photos.. until she starts receiving some suspect packages that she thinks is her father's way of scaring her to come home.
Nicolo is sent by his bosses wife's to keep an eye on Avah as they are witness to one suspicious package and feel like she needs protecting. Nicolo never thought he would end up losing his heart to a woman but as things heat between them aswell as Avah's stalker he finds himself not wanting to let her go and is willing to give up everything for her.
For someone who is brought up in a Mafia dealing family Avah is pretty clueless and nieve that she wouldn't think to speak her mind when she is in a position that she doesn't feel comfortable in. She always tries to think the best which could lead to you overlooking certain things.
A great read once again.

We have moved on to the De Luca men.

Avah is no stranger to the mafia life, she doesn't want any part of it. Out on her own, she has a stalker and someone else after her.

Nicolo is doing a favor for his bosses' wives. Once he meets Avah, he knows two things, he wants her and something has her spooked.

For a mafia daughter, even a small-time one, Avah is a bit naive. She has been sheltered and her father hasn't pushed her to marry a man of his choosing. Nicolo is loyal to the De Lucas as he is part of the "family", he wants Avah but doesn't expect to keep her once things cool down. His feelings are strong enough to have him considering another life.

As the fourth installment in the series, the stories move on to the men who work for the DeLuca family. Nicolo is an enforcer and his loyalty lies with the DeLuca's and anything they ask him to do. With Avah, he is walking a fine line between her protection vs. not dragging the family into something that does not involve them. I liked Avah at times, but she also seemed a bit immature. She wanted no part of the mafia life and thought by just moving out of her father's home that it would change anything. Almost as if she closed her eyes and didn't acknowledge something, then it didn't exist. Nicolo's maneuvering between the different families keeps you interested until the last page and their HEA.

Nicolo and Avah certainly steamed up the pages with their scorching attraction. I am enjoying this series very much and once again Ms Land delivers another hot and spicy and wild and crazy ride that we cannot help but be caught up in. Avah does not want to be a part of the life her dad is involved with and Nicolo is asked by his bosses wives to look out for Avah and that is when all the drama begins. Even though Nicolo is not the forever kind of man he is questioning his life choies because he knows he cannot live without Avah. This book will keep you entertained as only Ms Land can do and you will get to the end and wish for much more of the De Luca family.

This is the 4TH book in this incredible series, and this is Nicola and Avah’s story. Nicola is an enforcer for the De Luca crime family, and he is assigned to protect Avah, who is a friends of his bosses’ wife. Avah is in danger because of who her father is, and Nicola is determined to keep her safe and protected.
This is a well written story which is action packed, with danger, suspense, intrigue, family, friendships, secrets, challenges, drama, emotions, and love, which leads to an entertaining and steamy page turner.

Love the De Luca family. These books are all amazing. This story mixes different crime families and cartels in one. Avah doesn’t want to be part of this life. She left her Dad because of his ties to organized crime. She just doesn’t realize it yet but she can’t hide from that. Nicolo wants her but can’t give her the white picket fence life she wants. Can he keep his distance and keep her safe at the same time?.

I enjoyed the story very much. Nicolo is asked to check on Avah by the bosses wives. She's bartending when he meets her and really likes what he sees. They are very attracted to each other with plenty of steam. Nicolo was like all alpha males very protective of Avah. There wasn't much violence but there was a stalker. I did get a little tired of Avah saying she hated the "mafia" life but she loved Nicolo. This was a good read and a part of the De Luca Crime Family.

Nicolo is an enforcer for the De Luca family and he's tasked with protecting Avah. Avah knows all about organized crime because she grew up in that lifestyle but she left her family because she wants nothing to do with it. Meeting Nicolo changes everything. Fiery Affection is book four in the De Luca Crime Family series. The writing is well done, the characters are interesting, and the story is filled with danger, secrets, obsession, steam, and an action packed story that held my attention from the first page until the last. It has its share of complications, stalking, danger, waring sides and secrets. Nicolo has a lot to lose by doing a favor for the women. He finds his soulmate though. Avah finds herself running straight into what she worked hard to escape. This time she has the ultimate protector. Can it all be worth with such high costs. These two are really good characters in this intense, dark and conflicted love story

I’ve been enjoying this series but the last book did knock me off track a little - I can’t describe my intense dislike for Leo!!

However Nicolo is everything you might want in a alpha mafia good/bad man

I liked Avah and how she took herself out of her family situation then worked so hard to be herself.

It was clear they loved each other but Nicolo’s denial was a fab part of this story.

This another installment of the DeLuca Crime Family. This book can be read as a stand alone. This book also has the characters from the previous books as well. This one is about one mob child running from her family to another mob family.
When the wives ask Nicolo to keep an eye on Avah, i think they were trying to protect her and set them both up at the same time. This works out well and soon Nicolo is swearing that he only is protecting , all the while they are having a relationship together.
When Avah accidentally takes a picture of a hand over of a trafficked girl, thats when her problems start. Nicolo thinks it might be related to her fathers business or even his, but they soon find out that is not.
They fight,love and soon become a couple that will have a great future together.

Loved this book. Nicolo is an enforcer for the De Luca crime family and when he's asked to do a favor for the women of his boss it leads him to avah, avah runs from her family because of who they are but never thought nicolo would also be in that line of work. Can their feelings out way his line of work?.

Nicolo has been ask by the DeLuca wife to check on Avah because they are afraid something is wrong. Avah comes a mafia family and has distanced herself from that because she has always hated it but now that Nicole has come into her life she may be rethinking her beliefs. This has danger, suspense and hot romance that will keep the reader engaged.

Nicolo never thought that doing a favor and checking one of Mia's projects with lead something more. He can tell something has her scared, he finds someone is stalking her. Avah was raised by a mafia man and wants nothing to do with it. Nicolo does not tell her he works for the De Luca Crime Family.

Avah and Nicolos story is part of the De Luca crime family series and it is intens with elements of violence, stalking, family bonds, friendship and love. I would not recommend it unless you have read the other books in this series as they are all connected although different people are the main characters in each book.

This book is great. The storyline which mixes several mafia / crime families will keep you on your toes throughout this book. Add to it, Nicolo the dark force enforcer and Avah and you get the perfect love story.
This is a great read.

Nicolo is the enforcer for the De Luca family, and when one of the wives asks him to watch Avah, she has an ulterior motive. She really wants him to keep an eye her but she wants them to get together also. Avah wants nothing to do with the mafia lifestyle. She even leaves her dad because of his ties to organize crime. Nicolo can’t give her the white picket fence she has envisioned, but he can protect her and give her safety.

This was a fantastic crime family romance. I simply loved Nicolo, he was just the best kind of possessive alpha and he would do anything to protect Avah. The storyline was interesting and I had a hard time putting the book down. Now I just can’t wait to read the next book.

I can't gush enough about the De Luca Crime Family and how every book added has more twists, dark secrets, passionate lovers and the heat only this crime family can dish out. Nicolo and Avah's story was simply put compelling.

This is the fourth book of De Luca Crime Family series. Just like the other parts, you are glued to the story of Nicolo and Avah. Throughout their story you can feel the chemistry and attraction they both exude and let's not forget the many hot and steamy moments between them. This entire series is a must read.

Maybe it's just me. But this just didn't hit me as a 5 Star lime the 3 previous installments in this series.

It might have been the whole virgin innocent thing... Or just a reading null for me.

Who knows I might just revisit the series and the rating change later on.....
