The Give Yourself Goosebumps books were some of my favorite treats as a wee one. Recently, I picked a few up on eBay again, including this rather rare one that I never had the chance to read. Now I am left lamenting the money I spent on the absolute worst Goosebumps book I’ve ever read. Normally, these things are exciting and spooky and have fun, scary, or silly endings. Into the Twister of Terror is just painfully stupid from start to finish to finish to finish and so on. Take note, folks; just because a book is rare and hard to find doesn’t mean it’s actually WORTH finding.

Fun fact about me is I used to be terrified of bad weather.I remember getting scared if the wind got up really high and I hated hurricane season. This was when I was younger
now as an adult I actually don't mind some thunder and lightning.Keep the tornadoes and hurricanes far away though. They still scare me.Now one thing I don't think I'll ever be scared of is Into The Twister Of Terror, even as a kid.If I read this book as a kid I don't think I would've been remotely scared. This book was both good and bad simotaniously. The story starts off with you seeing a twister approaching and you have to think fast. You can either go inside a cellar or try and save your dog.If you go in the cellar it's hilarious. And you should do that immediately. If you follow your dog you branch off into like four different storylines and this is where the book gets very creative. You get a story line with two storm chasers where you can go in the storm or watch from the back of the truck. In this story line the cause of the storm isn't explained but we find out what is inside the storm and it sounds good on paper but not my favorite. You get a story line about this girl named Wendy who accidentally conjured up the storm. This one wasn't bad.The worst storyline was the Hollywood movie storyline. And the best being the game of twister tag ,that was created from the inventor. One of my biggest complaints about this book was the change in the storyline. The tornado has different origins.I would've much rather preferred if it had one and you were made to survive the storm.I also didn't like the change in characters some characters depending on the ending turned on you or became something else entirely. The positives of this book was some of the endings none were to repetitive they did have cheesy puns but that didn't bother me to much.I also really loved the ending with the dog.One seemed like it was going to be bad but wasn't .I enjoyed the two storm chasers names being spin and turner. There's endings with giants in the sky, getting blasted off to outer space and "trailer people"living in a trailer that is literally tornado proof.I have mixed feelings on this one I'd give it a three out of five stars.

This had good options for the different paths but at times felt super rushed. It was a cool idea though.

Definitely the weakest GYG so far. Not a lot of great stuff inside the book, and the Sally and Spin plot was weak in particular. I liked the Native American related stuff and that plot as a whole, the animal plot was… interesting. Didn’t exactly hate the segment involving Yo-yo, though. Decent endings all throughout, really weak intro to the book. 5.5/10.
