Barbie heads to Paris to visit her Aunt Millie, a clothing designer. But she's in for a surprise. Aunt Millie's shop is failing and she's going to have to sell it. Luckily, Millie's assistant Alecia and Barbie still believe in Millie's talent. They summon the fairy patrons of fashion who glitz up Alecia's designs. Barbie and Alecia decide to hold a fashion show to try to save the shop. But then the fashion fairies are stolen by Millie's biggest rival! Hope seems lost until Barbie convinces everyone that they must believe in themselves. The fashion show is a success and Millie's shop is saved.

Read to my 7 year old daughter who loves Barbie. I'm not a big Barbie fan (too self-centered and superficial or material-oriented), but this book wasn't too bad -- focused on fashion and individual creativity/talent.
