I think I liked this book more for the vintage photos than anything else, there were lots of lovely anecdotes of burlesque stars but I felt like they were told by someone who knew them more as people than burlesque performers, which is fine but I wish I got more of a sense of their performance styles and what made them unique, perhaps someone who already knew some background on the performers would have found it more interesting. I still liked it and would reccomend it to those interested in burlesque history.

I marketed and sold this book when I was working for Collectors Press. It is out of print and difficult to find, but if you stumble on one, just get it!!! It is the BEST book of Burlesque information and history with pics you'll ever find!
