First off, let me say this review is not primarily about the content in this book. I really don't dispute the fact that David Taylor has had these amazing face-to-face appearances from Jesus. It certainly sounds like he has had an incredible journey with Jesus.
But, I do take issue with many of his points. I don't see how he can guarantee that every reader of this book will have the same type of face-to-face appearances with Jesus. How Jesus reveals Himself to one person could be completely different from how He reveals Himself to others. There are scriptures in the Bible that also talk about how we have to have certain things set right in our lives before He will be able to take us to the next level. Although I do think Jesus can reveal Himself to a new believer or someone very seasoned, not everyone is at the point where they will be having a face-to-face encounter as a result of reading a book.
I found it very distracting that Taylor will start to tell a particular story and then will say "I'll tell you more about that later". I wish I had an e-reader to count how many times he used that phrase or something similar.
Taylor's writing was very wordy and he tended to repeat himself frequently. For example, "I could not hold back the tears as I watched His torture and suffering - it was a horrible feeling inside of me, and I could not hold back the tears." Taylor also talks about one of the most important lessons he learned about Jesus was that Jesus is meek and humble. However, Taylor's writing style seems to do more to glorify himself than the One who has shown him these amazing things. Taylor describes a time when Jesus woke him up to whisper in David's ear regarding a woman in a third world country. Jesus whispered "She's catching up to the same level that your relationship is with Me!" Instead of being excited that there is another person having an awesome and intimate relationship with Jesus, David's response was "`Oh no, she don't!' After this I promised not to become complacent in my relationship with the Lord, not to let anyone surpass me in my closeness and intimacy with Him."
Taylor also claims that God comes and visits man on the earth from 3am - 6am and says "everything that God does that is significant is done early in the morning when He visits man on earth". I can think of lots of things that were significant that happened when it was not morning in the Bible - Jesus died on the cross, Peter and Silas were singing in jail at midnight and there was an earthquake that opened the prison doors to release them and the jailer believed in Christ, etc. The truth is that God does amazing things on earth at any and all hours of the day.
Every believer needs to read this book. This book has radically changed my life, my ministry, and my relationship with God. There's a powerful impartation you will receive when reading this book. It will birth such a greater hunger in you to go beyond gifts, anointing, offices, and ministry to know the Father and Jesus as a person. I would dare say boldly that if you don't read this book you run the risk of missing God and your destiny in His kingdom.
David Taylor has put together extensive documentation of personal experiences and scriptural references to establish the legitimacy of face-to-face visitations from God. You will not only believe in their possibility to occur, but you will receive the steps to open a door for your own visitations. It is well written and exciting to read.
I read this book and it is one of the most soul searching books that I have read. The author's relationship with Christ is so personal and committed. It pushes you to rethink your walk with Christ and draws you to really become aware of who Christ really is and who you are in him. The book shows you just how much you love Christ. It brings you to true repentance and soul searching. It strips you and uncover you to see yourself. You can glean from this book to start a true and personal relationship with Jesus Christ that is if you really want to know him better. Thank God for just knowing someone really and truly loves Christ and gives himself totally to him. May God continues to bless this book.
This amazing wonderful book to read. It's teaches me things that I did not even imagine can be possible, it's also give me hoped and that I should never give up. I would highly recommend this book to everyone. I just want to say thank you to David for sharing your amazing experiences with us all. May The Lord Almighty God continue Blessing you and your Families In Jesus Christ Might Name I Pray Amen.
This is an excellent book for those that wish to see the face of God. It is an ultimate intimacy that we all belong to have with our Savior. Read this book with an open heart and ask the Holy Spirit to guide you. Be blessed.
