Too plain of an attempt. This is more like a collection of lecture notes, than a book. And, in my opinion, the wording, the descriptions and the author's approach, are not bound to offer any solid basis for studying/practicing Buddhism in any sense.
This book is a compilation of a series of lectures given by the author. This book covers the basic concepts of Buddhism, lecture by lecture and by using common analogies. The author frequently quotes Buddha and his disciples and also expresses his opinions on the matter. The book only covers very simple concepts but surely does encourage the reader to explore Buddhism further.
