I was born in Leicester, England, and lived in our cobbler’s shop with my parents and sister. It was an old house and most definitely haunted, but I didn’t find out until I left that my great uncle had hung himself in the living room! But I think our ghost might have been older than that. It was built on the site of the old Roman cemetery, and the land had been constantly inhabited, being in the centre of town. Then, when the council bought the house from us to build a road, my grandfather retired and my father went and worked for the Post Office. My mother was a sample machinist; that is, she worked with designers on the prototypes (models or samples) of garments. So I was very well dressed! We bought a relatively modern house in the country, and my mother was blissfully happy. It’s all very well living in a large old house, but it’s a dreadful task to keep it clean and warm!

My mother's side of the family are Romany gypsies, although sadly we haven't any of the old trailers that are so astonishingly beautiful. I was taught to read the Tarot cards, and I usually use two packs; the Rider pack for simple readings and the Crowley Thoth pack for the complex stuff.
I've always had an interest in the paranormal and it's been a delight to be able to put some of this into my novels.

*Possible Spoilers*

I enjoyed that this book was not another 'fated mate' story, and while Sandro was an Alpha male in some regards, he was not overbearing in his interactions with Megan.
No tossing over the shoulder, and 'Do it because I know better'. Very refreshing. I also found the Megan was generally a strong woman, with some minor flaws (don't we all have them). She wasn't complicated, or overly simplistic.

Some points I really enjoyed about this book:
The storyline was easy to understand. There was no background drama to confuse the path of the story, or innuendo's throughout for a follow-on plot. Miss Connolly stuck to the two main leads and didn't bog the story down with minor character POV.
There was a lot of emotion, and it stayed that way. I often get frustrated by characters in other books, back and forth between how they feel and what they *should* feel. Characters that are too 'damaged' to just get on with it and enjoy. Those stories leave me feeling hot and cold about the characters, and the story line. The depth of feeling between the two leads kept me with them, and in a peaceful state throughout the story, even when things were not going well. I appreciated that there was very little second guessing on the heroine's part. She was able to read Sandro and not second guess her own self-worth (there was a little second guessing in the beginning, but not to the extent where you throw up your hands, or want to shake sense into someone. It also wasn't second guessing of her self, rather the problems were placed where they belonged - with Sandro).

Some points I didn't really enjoy/would have made the story stronger:
Some grammatical errors and a few repeat sentences, but not enough to ruin the book as a whole.
I would have liked to get a little more background history on the Talents. I appreciated that it wasn't clogged with detail, but it didn't go into any real depth with the characters that were introduced, except for some minor details with Megan and Jack. On Sandro's side, even though he trusted his team, there was really no reason 'why' and no connection between those characters and himself (which lead me to be suspicious of all of them - maybe this was what the author was going for?).
All in all I really enjoy this story, and it has made me curious about the series.

The romance between Sandro and Megan is beautiful, sensuous and tender. I loved them together. There are some editing/grammatical errors but not too bad.

Megan is having dreams of communicating telepathically with a man who is being tortured and held captive in a lab. She's participating in a sleep study and has been sent for a brain scan. Simultaneously, the news is reporting on the "coming out" of "Talents" shapeshifters, vampires and "other" non-human beings who've until now have kept their existence secret.

Sandro is a dragon-shifter and the man Megan thinks she is dreaming about is his brother who has been kidnapped by an insidious group with evil intentions. Thus the reason for the coming out of the Talents. They are represented by a group called S.T.O.R.M..

Now the bad guys are after Megan because she's able to communicate with Ricardo, Sandro's brother. They've effectively cut him off from communicating telepathically with anyone else and want to know why Megan as breached the barriers they've put in place.

There's the plotline. It works well and I enjoyed it but the romance between Sandro and Megan is incredible. So sweet and tender I was really moved. I want to go back read all the intimate moments between them, it was touching. I'm still thinking about it.

Would I read it again? Absolutely, even though it was free when I downloaded it I would have considered it well worth the money.

Do I want to continue reading? Not really sure, the next story deals with a couple having public sex and the third mentions ménage in the description. I have a hard time believing in the relationship if those things are an integral part of a story, just not my cuppa, so for now I'm not moving forward with the series.

Megan was a little hard to get to know at the beginning of the story and it was a little slow at first. I would have liked a longer epilogue but still a wonderful romance.

What a great book. I really enjoyed this book about TALENTS which are the para-normals. This starts off with Sandro (a dragon shifter) rescuing Megan at a sleep center. Megan has been having trouble sleeping and has had these horrible nightmare, only they aren't nightmares they are real .There was a reason that Sandro was there when Megan need him. He had been watching her some time. He wasn't sure whose side she was on, until the bad guys tried to take her. There are the baddies who want to experiment on the Talent and the is the group of Talents that are trying to stop them know as Storm. Also Sandro's brother is the guy that Megan has been dreaming about.

Needless to say they meet and fall. But not everything is happy and then there is a twist. Honestly I wasn't sure how things were going to work out on that one. The ending was abrupt. I guess that just meant that it wasnt over and there will be another book.

Well not really sure what to say here. I loved and hated this book. I hated the style of writing, this book had so much promise and could have been so much more. I felt the style at times was child like and naive, and at times I felt like the story was galloping along, yet not going anywhere. It felt like in the beginning that it was all about sex. Then Megan is transformed into a shape shifting Dragon, and that's when I felt the story started to become really interesting.
I found the story amusing and light hearted, and so for this bit of the story I loved the book.
I wavered between 3 and 4 starts and would give it 3.5, just for amusement and entertainment value.
It's obviously not a serious read, since it's about Humans struggling to live with shape shifters and vampires., the usual, bad scientists kidnapping shape shifters trying to identify the elixir of long life.

This book was picked for me as part of a challenge, and i was surprised how I enjoyed the humour.

Fantasy dragon shifter romance set in modern day America with a search for MIA dragon shifter by the ESP receiving messages by a human.
So we open with Megan is having a seemingly normal medical appointment about her chronic insomnia when she is almost kidnapped by the doctor and she is saved by the smoking hot dragon, Sandro. He is one sexy (although very old) dragon shape-shifter who ends up saving Megan, but at a cost. I liked the couple, Megan and Sandro were believable although he is four hundred years older then her.
Cute shifter story set in modern times with lots of death threats and violence as well as some sexy time and a satisfying HEA although nothing terribly original in this story.

I really enjoyed this book. It was such an easy read: 1. because it was interesting and 2. because the storyline was different, up front, clear and flowed really well.
I was drawn to Sandro and Megan quickly - their attraction to each other was pretty clear cut and although there was a hiccup or two along the way it only added to the enjoyment of the book. Also the blend of erotica with paranormal was well done.
I am looking forward to reading the next in the series. The introduction to some of the other 'Talents' has whetted my appetite!

I really enjoyed the story and thought it well written. My only drawback (and this might just be me) I didn't get a visual. When I read books I like to "watch a movie in my head". I could have used more character descriptions. I plan to read more from this series.

This was a DNF for me. A promising story, but came across as cheesy.
