Wonderful space trilogy! Everything you need for an exciting sci fi read -emotions, mysteries, space adventures, heroes and wars. A little too much Russian patriotism but other than that - it is a 100% page turner!

I wanted to like this book, but unfortunately, it is pretty mediocre: the characters are flat, worldbuilding is non-existent and the main hero is the bluntest example of Marty Stu I've seen in years.
Maybe other novels in this series are better, but personally I lost all the will to keep on reading it after finishing the first book.
