I like how this book gets into the history of different heresies to show how they have been refuted over time. The Bible verses at the start of each chapter are very helpful. This book was published in 1990, right at the start of The White Horse Inn podcast. I've been enjoying going back and listening to all the old podcasts and this book was mentioned several times so I had to find a used copy to read it. Dr. Quentin Schultze was my professor at Calvin College for my senior seminar class, which was one of my favorite classes in college, so it was really cool to see that he had written one of the chapters!

Very good book that exposes the TV preachers and Word-of-Faith hucksters. Recommended.

It's a very good resource for those who are interested in the Word of Faith heresy. Because there are copious citations from the purveyors of this theology, it makes an excellent resource for those who wish to acquire and read works from the prominent preachers of this heresy. Moreover, the essays in response to the WOF heresy are well written and thoughtful.

Great expose. A must read for Christians. Yes dated over time but it shows the methodology of the lying TV preacher.
