I had this on my book shelf for years as a mental health practitioner. I am interested in stories of resilience, recovery and survivorship, and this compilation of true stories speaks to that. It was extraordinarily difficult to get through some of the narrative, but events must be shared as they are experienced in detail to heal all of the injured parts - spiritual, mental, emotional and physical. The courage of the contributors summons our own courage in naming those injuries. Highly recommended.
