I just found this book in an old box and remember reading it over and over when I was in high school. I LOVED this book, but in looking through it I'm getting a few laughs. Although, quite a bit of the advice is still good today, especially the advice on not dressing tacky. The receipt is still in the book, that's how I know the date I read it, my memory isn't that good!

Found this book on a free table, and I was excited to add it to my collection of "how to" beauty books. It's a great guide to a culture that I did not grow up in, with tons of photos of Cornelia Guest, who I now need to research. Also useful as a guide to throwing big parties, with tips that never go out of style.
