As with most technical textbooks, this one doesn’t cover recent updates to the ArcGIS software. However, it is surprisingly relevant still. I really appreciated the structure of the chapters, where it guides you through the steps and then has you repeat the process in an exercise. I also found the screenshots to be extremely helpful. This is an excellent tutorial for ArcGIS.

It's great for students. Concepts are laid out easily and the tutorials are helpful to get a handle on the concepts within ArcGIS.
