If you can get passed some rough English translation of Greek, and some inventive transliterations of English words, then you will find a most detailed history of a most tragically beautiful island named Crete.

A solid outline of Cretan history covering a broad sweep from Minoan times to union with Greece in 1913. Many of the segments are quite short and there are times when the author's Greek nationalist biases become quite obvious, but this work is still a solid addition to anyone with a particular interest in Crete and is one of the few books available in English translation about the general history of the island.
