The young researcher/writer Millicent Trace has been hoping to prove that the mythical Tuatha De Danann race exist despite all the dangers that these immortal fey pose for humanity. So when Millicent comes face to face with the legendary seelie Queen, she is both excited and terrified. Logically, she knows she should run, but when the Queen requests her aid, Millicent feels she has no choice but to try.
