Recently she temporarily quit writing manga after a scandal involving her plagiarism of many magazine photographs.
According to The Yaoi Review (2009-12-31), she is back with a continuation of an ongoing manga to be released in English in February.

4,5 El rating y la reseña van para la serie completa.
¿4,5 estrellas???? Venga ya, ¿tantas escenas calenturientas te han trastocado MaDo? Esta serie es un viejunismo del yaoi y no es para tanto... ¿o sí?
Mis estrellas son porque me ha parecido que la construcción de la relación entre Katou e Iwaki ha sido muy bonita, pasito a pasito vemos como ha ido madurando hasta convertirse en una pareja sólida, son fieles a sí mismos y al otro de una manera especial, y además tiene momentos muy tiernos y cotidianos que me encantan. Que sí, que se pasan follando la mitad de la serie, ¿y qué? Al menos aquí hay un sentido, no como en el primer libros.
No voy a negar que hay tramos de acción repetitivos, me hubiera gustado que alguna vez fuera Katou el objeto de deseo por parte de terceros, pero yo he disfrutado muchísimo con la lectura, las líneas del dibujo me parecen tan puras, me encontraba embobada mirando algunas escenas, perdida en la carita de Katou *suspira*
Hay muchos detractores, pero me da igual, adoro Haru wo Daiteita #noshame, Nitta tiene una nueva fan, ya me he cascado la serie que continua con la historia de estos 2 y desando estoy que salga el próximo capítulo.

This is as far as I get in this series, so the rating is for this and the previous volumes as well
This is the developing of a relationship full of drama and denial from part of each one.
BOth are gay porn actors, I think. so they go from acquaintances, to friends and then to more, but the fact that they wanted to keep it private, makes the life difficult for both of them; and also their friends would not make it easy either 'cause they only want to ruin their relationship.
A couple where the seme comes to be a decent moral person and the uke a crazy one... good combination right?
loved the ending.

El verdadero final y único. Es que es perfecto tal que así. Alive que le prendan fuego, por dios. La relación de Iwaki y Kato es inmortal y siguen juntos y felices en Hawai con una mansión en la playa. Puestos a inventar, invento yo.

Excelente volumen final de una larga y querida serie que nunca perdió consistencia. Siempre me han encantado los diálogos, las situaciones planteadas, la personalidad de los protagonistas y el que ninguno de los personajes secundarios tiene desperdicio.
La trama se sale del típico Yaoi. El dibujo es excelente, tanto el diseño de los personajes como los fondos son una obra de arte. Youka Nitta es una excelente mangaka, y eso no lo puede borrar ningún traspié que haya dado en el pasado.
En este volumen Iwaki y Kato nos deleitan con la profundidad de su relación y la profesionalidad con que son capaces de asumir sus carreras: Iwaki, que ha tomad el camino difícil de ir más allá en su carrera intentando independizarse de su agencia, ahora va a enfrentar una situación inesperada. Kato lucha por superar el difícil reto de filmar en un lugar peligroso y trata de avanzar en su carrera hacia el ansiado premio de la academia. Y vemos que la Madre Naturaleza viene a ponerse en el camino de los dos de una manera despiadada.
La manera como uno y otro son capaces de poner su vida en riesgo por el otro ha sido bellamente plasmada sin forzar para nada la historia. Me ha encantado el final...
Y todavía más me encanta que Youka Nitta ha publicado un nuevo capítulo en el 2012 llamado "Love Tanker", espero que siga ofreciéndonos más momentos entrañables con los hermosos personajes de este manga.

Iwaki-san was having a tough time breaking out from his current contract with the production agency and his life was threaten due to his selfless act of protecting his fellow colleagues from the unfair manipulation of his current agency. Katou-kun was away for assignment aboard leaving Iwaki-san to fend for himself. I was on the edge of my seat worrying for his safety.
Katou-kun's does say some of the darndest things sometimes, yet there are times he would say the most profound things too. He's my favorite fer sure.
To me, Haru Wo Daiteita series depicts the best homosexual relationship especially in Yaoi manga. Needless to say, this series is my all-time-favorite and I have actually read it many times over. And I will not ever get bored with it no matter how many times I've reread it.
The art was fabulous especially the sex-scenes, it's bone melting, highly stimulating and sensual - making it hard for me to peel my eyes off such steamy panels.

This is one of the best yaoi mangas I've read so far. And I can say I read A LOT yaoi! Everything started with her artbook "Kiss of Fire". I bought it, because the feedback were overwhelming. Nitta's paintings fascinated me and I wanted to discover the background story about Iwaki and Katou. And I didn't regret it! The plot is very interesting and captivating. Her drawings catches the eye of the reader. Nitta's style is very sensual and that's what I like the most. Nothing appears cheap or exaggerated. It was amazing to see how her drawings made more and more progress from issue to issue and so does her characters. Both thumbs up!

Repeated review.
Okay, back in the day, I loved this series. Why? Because gay. That’s literally the only reason I loved it, alongside a lot of other yaoi manga. But then, I got older, smarter, and learned some fucked up shit about life, and then, I returned to most of the yaoi manga I once read. And absolutely hated a lot of them.
All of them, that I ended up hating later in life, involved incest, toxic relationships, rape, borderline rape, slavery, underage, and cringe. You decide which of those fits best with this series.

Read all the books, besides all the hot and steamy :D and the terrible spelling and plot in the start, it really is the most beautiful (homosexual) relationship I've ever read about. Gave me an open mind--which is what books/manga should do!
