nice artwork but the stories are too short and too inaccurate. ok for young children maybe.

This is a volume from the "Short Tales-Norse Myths" series, Magic Wagon Books, Abdo, c2011. The prime audience is ages 8 and up, grades 3 and up. Price is 16.24. Each book presents a simple story about a god of the Norse Myths. This title is called Thor, the son of Odin and brother of Baldur and Hoor. Thor was the youngest and biggest of the brothers, and the mightiest fighter in Asgard, with the help of his magical hammer Mjolnir. The pages are filled with mythical creatures, giants, animals, shape shifting beings performing feats of valor, despicable deeds, and pages of fantasy filled situations. Readers will enjoy and appreciate how the different characters appear and are linked to characters from other stories. Illustrations are vibrant and richly composed, exciting and extremely imaginative. Young Readers drawn to mythology and fantasy genres will devour this simple retelling of a Norse myth.
