The book “Computer Concepts and C Programming” is designed to help the Engineering students of all Indian Universities. This book is written as per the new syllabus of the Visveswaraiah Technological University, Belgaum, India and it satisfies all the requirements of I/II semester students who aspire to learn the fundamentals of computers and C Programming.

C is a structured programming language. This is most popular and a very powerful programming language. It is standardized and portable across multiple operating systems. C has been the most sought after programming language for developing the system software such as device drivers, compilers, parts of operating systems, interpreters for languages like Java, Prolog, etc. Among other popular programming languages like C++, Java and C#, C retained its position in software development activities.

This book provides more than 100 example programs. All these programs are executed and tested on Borland C++ compiler and with the vi editor on UNIX. All the laboratory assignments are provided in Appendix–A. There are 150 multiple choice questions given for the readers to test their knowledge of C language.
