Enjoyed it, but the ending felt rushed.

This is a book that starts well - with an interesting mystery and intriguing clues - but then goes wildly awry about half way through. It's as though the author had rather lost interest in the story and the characters and had decided he'd better write in a few car chases, fights and similarly cliched 'action scenes' to keep the pace up. Sadly this completely derails the plot. Numerous inconsequential characters come and go, plot threads get tangled and untangled or just left to dangle; and there are events and coincidences of a degree of improbability that is staggering even for a thriller. A shame. Kyle can write very well. But this one feels like an uncomfortable blend of Douglas Bagley and Modesty Blaise.
