New York Times and USA Today bestseller Vicki Lewis Thompson believes love makes the world go around and laughter makes the trip worth taking. The recipient of RWA’s Nora Roberts Lifetime Achievement Award and the author of more than ninety books, Vicki pioneered a new kind of romance hero with Nerd in Shining Armor. Following the success of her nerd stories, Vicki launched a boisterous paranormal series featuring a matchmaking witch and wizard, an ADD dragon named George, and a black cat inspired by her own precocious feline, Eve.
There are three different stories in this book. The first, Illicit Dreams, was ok. I enjoyed reading it but didn't seem to be unbelievably drawn to the characters. The second book, Unfinished Business, was much more exciting. I loved the storyline and how it spanned over multiple countries really making you feel a part of the travels. The final story, The Sweetest Taboo, seemed to be very strangely titled. I never really got that but I do feel like it may have been my favorite of the three. Sebastian was really an amazing character to fall in love with. So secret and scary, but yet so amazing and lovable. I feel all three parts of this book were worth a read.
Vicki Lewis Thompson & Suzanne Forester's stories were great! They were the 4 star rating. I actually read books from them quite often & love them.
Alison Kent's story was about 2 stars. This was the first time I've read anything from her and I have to say It was Very, VERY slow and I found myself skipping pages and not missing anything important. She will not be an author I seek out.
This romance anthology delves into three different situations: the too-thin apartment wall, sexual revenge, and the bad boy. Authors Vicki Lewis Thompson, Suzanne Forster, and Alison Kent let their imagination run wild in these three fun, sexy stories.
This is actually three novels in one, and they were all three worth reading, but I have to say that "The Sweetest Taboo" by Allison Kent was profound - I am certain I will both keep and reread this.
