What does it mean to be a Third Culture Kid? How can adolescents caught in the middle between two cultures, two languages, two worlds find identity and belonging? Veteran global nomad Judy Lee answers these questions in her autobiographical narrative poetry collection, 1/2: A Tale of Two Me's. From her experience growing up across the globe—from Seoul, to Vancouver, to Abu Dhabi to Southern California—comes a bilingual narrative of heartbreak, separation, and acceptance. Navigating friendships, love, and finding her creative voice in the midst of fractured family relationships and repeated goodbyes from familiar worlds, Lee's interwoven tale captures a universal truth in new being a teenager isn't easy in any country. 1/2, told in both Korean and English, literally embodies the experience of a bicultural and bilingual identity. This is her debut poetry collection.
Hello everyone, I would like to share a little information about myself. I am an Author of 3 books, and a painting artist. I am from Tennessee and I am the proud mother of 3 and grandmother of many grandchildren. I am married to a wonderful man that enjoys poetry as much as I do. I wrote all the poems for my first book of poetry over the past 30 years. I finally had an opportunity thanks to Amazon KDP to put them all together in a book for everyone to enjoy. "Emotions on Paper" is my very first book of poetry but I am working on my 2nd one. "Haunted Dreams" is my very first novel. My husband and I vacationed in Savannah Georgia to go on ghost tours around the town. Due to these tours and tales I was inspired to write my book. Every since then I have wanted to write more books. I wrote my next book "The Old Haunted Mansion" that was released in March 2020. This book is also going audible and being released by Christmas 2020. I am now working on another book to be released next fall 2021. I truly enjoy writing my books and I hope that you all enjoy reading them.
