Reading this book made my visit to Vicksburg so real to me. Even though you know these events happen but it’s hard to picture the events. Visiting Vicksburg and then reading about it makes the accounts more real to me. Reading about the people or places you’ve seen and having been there it’s such an important part of History and so sad.
