This is a great book that teaches some basic tantra. I like it because the majority is about the man. That puts you in contral and takes away the need to rely on your partner. Thus, takes pressure of both people.
Purchased for $3 because friends dared me. After avoiding eye contact with the cashier, I quickly skimmed the book to unlock its secrets. I regret to inform you that I have not yet practiced the techniques described, so I cannot confirm their effectiveness. If I later become a sexpert, review will be updated. This lukewarm review focuses instead on the mediocre writing style and a major flaw in the writer’s assumptions. I’m certainly in favor of men having a more pleasurable experience. But Barb writes as if a man lasting longer is the ONLY possible way for a woman to be satisfied. If that’s what you believe, you may have been watching too many internet “documentaries.” I’d like to think they author knows better, but you wouldn’t get that from this book. But as I said, if I later find her advice to be effective, that might earn another star. 3/5 🍆
i’m just a little lady reading this and not practicing any of the techniques sooo….
the first 3 chapters read as one long introduction just scaring the reader into thinking their partners wont enjoy sex unless they can last forever. like there aren’t other ways to please each other and enjoy sex? it feels like it tries to say that women can only cum from intercourse which is just weird to read in a book by a female sex therapist.
but then later on she sorta fixes this by having the partners swap positions in exercises and focus on the woman’s pleasure and all her sensations.
despite missing the mark in female pleasure, i appreciate how often this book reinforces safe sex practices and prioritizes consent and comfort of both partners in every single exercise
the writing also picks up n becomes sillier in the later chapters. i did have a few giggles and found some things to be cute n wholesome.
It is a great book... never knew such guidance for men existed, and could help... methinks the center of everything man has been forgotten, but Barbara has got it all wrapped... Kudos.
The book gives invaluable insights on how to last long in bed, without tiring, how to the woman, and the art of making love. Whether you will find the guidance practical or not, it is a book work being gifted to some people who are too conservative to the point of thinking it's sin to imagine thinking about sex. Well, barriers are broken, taboos done away with, and a new perspective to sex addressed.
Never read a guide book like this before, but it was pleasantly clear and to the point. Did find the testemonial stories a bit much, but then the central point wasn't news to me.
Muy interesante. No creo que mi vida amorosa podría mejorar, pero este libro hizo el truco. Ahora, soy un hombre salvaje en la cama y mi esposa es muy feliz.
okay so here's the story: i found this in a local thrift store that has a fill-a-bag section where you can pay $10 and stuff a bag full of as much as you want from that section. and i looked at all the other books and dvds and found nothing for a good while. and i was like "okay. if i can't find anything else i am NOT bringing this stupid book up to the counter on its own." but luckily for me my mom was also there with me and we teamed up to fill a bag with random clothes and then this one book. so shoutout. fun enough read ! surely would have been a more fun read if i had a penis but i don't have one of those. so. also gets a bit repetitive but that makes sense considering the exercises with and without a partner are gonna look similar anyway. the writing is a little corny at times but i do respect that miss barbara keesling was willing to get a little silly with it.
The concept wasn't foreign to me but I didn't know pcm contraction was supposed to be a brake, it felt more like an accelerator at times, also for her. She fails to mention the word kegel I think, also the fact that girls have this as well. Could have been longer, the audiobook was over on 1.5x speed in an hour. The format may be best suited as a text book, since for the practices one might want to revisit. At least part of what she claims is definitely possible, to have a dry orgasm, but to continue on is an entirely differeent story. Perhaps the edging part is necessary as well. Let's practice xD
Interesting book, was quite interesting to read. I am still working on the exercises, so can`t say yet if it will work for me. But so far it seams legit. Like the way how the autor writes and also that there are "single" and "partner" excercises.
Reads like a textbook, but she tries to make it fun. Clear and concise, straight to the point. Well, now that I'm done reading, time to begin to put it all in practice. This means that I'll have, at least, to read all the exercises all over again...
