The ninth title in the new 'Usborne Very First Reading' series, designed for younger children to introduce them to reading together with their parents. Parents and children take turns to read from the page (the text clearly marked for who should be reading) and as the books progress in the series the adults read less and the child more.
Mairi Mackinnon has lived in England, Scotland, France, Italy and Spain, and worked as a teacher, translator and tour manager before joining Usborne. Over the years she has written and edited Usborne books in sixteen languages, from Arabic to Welsh. She lives in a house full of teenagers, books and curious musical instruments.
This book was about a happy rabbit who was taking a stroll and was approached by a variety of animals. These different animals all kept inviting the rabbit to play with them, but you could tell by the pictures that was not their intention. Smaller animals who were not predators of rabbits, kept warning the rabbit to not play and guided him along the way. This book would be great for a kindergarten classroom, the kids would like the pictures and guess what might happen throughout the story.
