A good start for anyone interested in one of the most fascinating women of the colonial era.

I just happened upon this while perusing the history section at my library. Edith B. Gelles has written several books about Abigail Adams - such an intriguing woman! Here Gelles takes several periods in Adams’ life and examines her letters during those periods to create a mini biography. Short and compact and engaging!
