Chris Gravett is a former Senior Curator at the Royal Armouries, Tower of London, and a recognized authority on the arms, armour, and warfare of the medieval world. He has worked as an advisor for numerous TV and film productions, and has written many books. He currently works as a curator at Woburn Abbey, Bedfordshire.
A basic run down of how to become a knight and what the knights duties and lifestyles were like. There a nice assortment of Knight themed crafts to make included in the book. (Just the directions) I think its a good book for a kid who is new to the topic. I wish the writing style was a little less rigid, because its obviously written for children and I think kids would get bored reading this by themselves.
I liked learning the names of armor pieces and the specifications for coats of arms, but the ending was very abrupt and the whole bit on the crusades seemed out of place.
