Someone who is already familiar with MVVM, or has implemented MVVM in WPF and/or Silverlight applications, will likely find little here ... unless perhaps that someone is moving from the traditional LOB application development, into more storyboard/animation oriented creations.
"Advanced MVVM" is a bit of misnomer here ... certainly, this book is not for beginners, as many concepts and properties of WPF that make MVVM possible are not explained or covered in detail. Author assumes prior experience with the technologies and concepts at play. Therefore, this book targets advanced MVVM practitioners, but the topics presented are not particularly advanced.
The relatively high cost of this title does justify the content within.
