I reread this one a lot. It brings me back to when I was a whee bab collecting Pokemon cards and Playing on my Gameboy advance SP. I always catch myself either smiling or crying by the end and it will always have a spot on my bookshelf.

It was so cool! I just love Pokemon so much! It rocks! In the beginning I was really wondering who was the boy in the straw hat. I am on volume 5 and I figured out that he is working for Green and that his name is Amarillo:Yello.

Pokemon Adventures is actually a really good manga, especially the older volumes, but you wouldn't know it from reading this abridged version. It tries to hide the lack of coherent story by claiming it's a "best of" - except the chapters included are decidedly not the best.

This volume includes:

- people being amazed by Yellow's power
- Yellow teaching Lance that mass murder is wrong
- a chapter about Pikachu babysitting Caterpie
- out-of-context villainous diatribe
- about 1/4th of the showdown between heroes and villains, in which Yellow utilizes battle strategies that would make no sense if you haven't read the previous volumes which explain how Pikachu surfs

This volume does not include:
- character development
- funny parts
- happy parts
- sad parts
- any information on the protagonist's motivation for doing any of this in the first place
- the protagonist's gender

This was cute but I didn’t feel particularly compelled to continue reading unfortunately! I liked the story and premise, and I think it was good for a younger reader.

The thing I really didn’t love was how confusing it was to read at times; I’ve read and enjoyed many a comic/manga/graphic novel and they’ve never been quite as confusing. I think it was the black and white of it that made it hard to read.

Definitely my favorite of the Pokemon Adventures manga. I really like Yellow as a character, as she's deeply empathetic and actually brings meaning into caring about the Pokemon. The manga really is such a joy to read, compared to the more bare-bones stories of the TV show and the games.

This made very little sense to me, but I also haven’t read many of the other Pokemon manga. Ultimately, I found it to be boring.

This was really cute not gonna lie. I've always been curious about the Pokemon manga so when I saw it at my library, I knew I had to get it. But this was just adorable!

Pokémon Adventures is better far than this “Best of” book. If this is your first experience with the series, I would suggest you go back and read the actual manga which is far better than this. There some extremely important details about the plot and characters missing, and some of my favorite parts of this manga aren’t in this collection. The parts included were poorly chosen, there is no explanation for things that make more sense in the manga, and all the character development we get in the manga was excluded from this book. Please read the manga.

Though I find this Best of edition to be great, it still presents us as readers with plenty of holes in the story that, without reading the previous Adventures volumes, leaves plenty of people confused about why certain actions or scenes are happening. In the first Best of, the scenes that were picked flowed better than this volume. After reading through the Yellow arch though, I understand why they left so many scenes out. So, while I deeply enjoy this Best of, I cannot give it as great of a rating as I did with Red's version due to the flow of events they chose to display Yellow, and I feel that it might discourage people from getting invested in the series if they found this before any other Pokemon manga.

First of all, this book is not a complete collection, but rather a "Best Of" book which mean it only has some of the chapters of Pokemon Adventures featuring Yellow. This makes the book very confusing and extremely hard to follow most of the time. This is a very simple book, with very simple characters, and a very simple story. It's not great, but it's not meant to be high literature. What's really outstanding is the artwork. These are very basic Manga drawings, but they have a wonderful, childlike flair that make the story very entertaining. I would recommend this book to Pokemon fans or younger kids new to Manga.

I love the Pokemon Adventures series, but I'm not a big fan of the "Best Of" books. For one thing, all of the art is reversed, and I realize it is that way so that people who are used to reading left to right are more comfortable with it, but it isn't the original way the artist made it. Also, it is combining multiple books into one, meaning that a lot of details are missed. It's kind of just summarizing what happened in the books, so I was quite confused when I read it. I love Pokemon Adventures, but not the Best Of books.

It is about a young pokemon traveller which accept the mission of saving red assigned by Green. In the last few battles,Blue,Green,Blaine,Yellow and Bill will join forces with team rocket against the formidable Elite Four which wants to eliminate humans to create a world for pokemon.A new pokemon will appear and so will Goivanni who's side is he on anyway? It is a battle for the survival of human race. The moral of the storey is that we should not spoil the enviorment.

This book was... well no exactly a book. This manga was about the gaming series Pokemon. It described what happens in the games and has more interaction with other characters. It gives Team Rocket more of a "bad guy" look. It focuses on Yellow who is a new trainer. He (she) has already meet Red the previous Champion. She eventually helps Red, Green, and Blue to take down the Elite Four and take back Kanto.

I do enjoy the Pokemon manga series, but I'm warning everybody who has not already read the series: This is a Best Of, not a regular series installment, so it will be confusing as it jumps from different chapters and leaves out some information. If you read this, I would recommend picking up the series first.

This book is 'The Best Of' meaning that you're not going to get the full story. So it was a bit confusing to follow when jumps happened between chapters. Still it was an excellent book with great art!
