It's the most popular ebook on currency trading ever written - downloaded over 500,000 times over the last 10 years. The ebook describes a simple approach to trading currency that removes the guesswork, and provides an achievable roadmap for trading successfully in the world's largest and most volatile financial market.
This isn't a book with a set of rules for a trading strategy. The book doesn't tell you where to buy or where to sell the EUR/USD or any other currency pair. If you're looking for a book about specific tactical setups for trading - then there are many, many good books available.
What this book does is attempt to set your expectations at a more realistic level from the very start. It's a book about perspective. And a right perspective from the start is essential.
The best way to start trading, no matter what you trade
This book is great for novice traders, it will help them generate consistent profits while minimizing risk. The principles apply to stocks and futures as well, so they can be used throughout a traders career. Can be read in less than an hour.
Rob Booker was one of my early trade master encounter. He was a quick and smart guy, although a bit quirky to me at times. I watched many of his collaboration videos, mostly promotional and entertaining, about his forex trading's results, training courses and private group tutor. However, his materials are too expensive for me and he never truly revealed his trading style or setups very much. So I read this little book written by him twelve years ago back in 2012, hoping to find some clues of his insights. I must say the ten principles in the book that Rob talked about was perhaps useful, new and refreshing, but they certainly felt old when looking back because time had moved on and the retail market had been expounded to a scale at another level. Essentially what he advocated was a defensive play, to trade short and take the few whatever pips the market offered. Breakout strategy, i.e. buy at the support, sell at the resistance; risk management, setting to breakeven when profiting at 10 pips, or 0.01% and stops to 0.015%, oh my, isn't it a risk-to-reward ratio less than 1? You can't talk too many in a pamphlet just under 30 pages, can you? The bottom line: the time is not lost for reading this book, but not time well-spent either.
Excellent read for beginners. Quite easy to read. Completed the book in a day and went on to look at the authours youtube channels. Easy to understand and apply.
