Rate this book
If the Creek Don't Rise has six stories that take readers on a journey through and around Cambridge, Ohio. The first, "Conscience," concerns Deputy Sheriff Brent Taylor's battle to keep his family, job, and sanity after recurring nightmares of a young girl's death manifest themselves into his everyday life. Next the neighborhood myth, "White Dog," is brought to life and haunts five childhood friends who are hiding from their past. Other stories include "Through Another's Eyes," "Creekside," "Hunters," and "Evil House." Each story paints a picture in the mind of the reader.
