A very helpful and informative book that I found really useful when I was diagnosed with a thyroid disorder. Well written and easy to understand. Recommended.
As someone who has just recently discovered what their thyroid does - only to have it taken out in about two weeks - this book was very informative. It gave credence to a lot of what my doctor has told me, and made sense of the myriad of information out there. I also learned that my doctors need to talk - it's an important thing when it comes to medication! I'd recommend this to anyone with any sort of thyroid issue.
There is so much that no one tells you when you face health issues that a book like this becomes like a bible. There is so much false information on the Internet and this book even deals with those myths. Always be an advocate for yourself. This book covers so much including other medications and how they interact. I know what to ask my endocrinologist.
Got to pg 61 where they say the theory of not converting t4 to t3 is erroneous. That's total bs and even if I kept reading I would just tear the rest of it apart. Not worth my time or aggravation.
