This is one of 11 books on academic writing I borrowed from the library in the quest of finding the book that best works for me. They mostly say the same things, use the same references, and the same anecdotes. I found this one too wordy at times. It tried too hard to be relatable and funny for my taste, or maybe I was just in a bad mood. Either way, it is in the pile I returned without finishing. The tips within are fine, just the same as everyone else.
