It was books like these that made the 1970s so much fun.

Back then, we could only watch Star Trek when they showed it on syndication, leaving us lots of times to read books like these.

From December 1981, comes this collection of articles out of one the early Star Trek fanzines. "The Best of Trek: From the Magazine for Star Trek Fans 4" edited by Walter Irwin shows kind of a state of where things were in what would then be just simply Star Trek not long after the release of "The Motion Picture". Some of the articles aren't bad and with 40 years of additional history both on air and via novels since some of the opinions of that day have changed with time. It's still a "unique" look at the past though as to how things were then to where we are now.
