"Envy: The Root Of All Evil" by Angel Williams
My Thoughts....
This was one of those urban fiction reads that is filled with action, dark, violence, drama, plots, envy, greed and suspense that will keep your attention till the end then leaving you wanting more. The characters were simply...well developed, defined, well portrayed and very believable that will have you shaking your head and saying really? How could someone that had been closest to you come to hate you so much taking 'envy' to a all new level? Now who I really feel sorry for was Precious daughter, Shaniya. From the read you are able to see the friendship between these two Precious & Nae-Nae since childhood turns quite sour after it seems like one of the friends becomes very envious of the other and will stop at no end to put the other down. Now, this story will really get interesting seeing how this story plays out for these two...Precious and Nae-Nae as there will be other players in the mist of it all of twist and turn read. The author really shows her creativity as she will take the reader on a ride where there is no coming back as we will be presented in a part 2 series.
I read Envy The Root of all Evil by Angel Williams and I loved it. The book was very good. With a story line that capture you from beginning to the ending of the story. I would highly recommend this book
Damn, started at the intro and saw ALL of the errors enimies instead of enemies, yet I plowed on trying to give it a chance. Wrong move! I just couldn't go on!
Can't wait for book 2. Thats all needs to be said. Everyting is about to hit the fan. I wonder will Rick get out of jail and if he does. What will become of Precious and Q?.
Deception at its best! This book showed how vindictive a person could be regardless of friendship. This book had a great storyline & the characters were well written. Precious & Nae-Nae had been best friends since childhood. Throughout all the damage that was done to her life, Precious remained friends with Nae Nae . Once Precious met a suitable mate & made a huge come-up, she carried Nae-Nae along, despite Nae-Nae continuously trying to sabotage Precious' life. Because Precious treated people fairly, her crew definitely had her back. Unbeknownst to Nae-Nae, she was only setting herself up for failure. This is a great example why envy is considered on of the 7 deadly sins. Looking forward to reading part 2 to this saga.
It is very rare that i would give five stars to a book. Even with authors that i have been reading for years, it very few stories that would make it to five stars. Angel Michelle have earned those five stars. One of the few books that i have not only enjoyed this time around, but i can tell that i will be reading this book again. I would give this book five stars. The only reason that i didn't give it five stars was not the fault of Angel, but the fault of Amazon. The problem is that when you're reading, you would see envy, or angel michelle on one of every ten to fifteen pages. Great read and i cannot wait to read part two.
This book earned 3 stars due to numerous grammatical errors, story flow was choppy, and the editing was not even passable but the concept is there. The story is good from what I can read. It started good then jumped to her young years then back to the first 3 chapters again. Somewhere in the story, the author lost me and I could not keep up. Unless the author takes time to review their work, this might be my last time reading their work.
This was a very good story. I thoroughly enjoyed it and can not wait to start part 2. I liked how the author developed all of the characters and how they were very consistent in the story. Getting to the juicy part, I can not stand that Nae Nae, I haven't seen a more envious person. She has a lot of nerves to bite the hand that fed her...Well, we shall she if she gets her so called revenge or NOT!! :)
This Is My First Read By This Author And I Must Say This Way A Good Read Nae Nae Was A Low Down Dirty Friend And Shaniya A Dirty Daughter ...This Read Had So Many Twist Turns It Leave You Wanting And Needing More....Nicki Williams G.AW Book club..South Side Divas Book Club....
It was a pretty decent book. I couldn't get past the spelling errors. There was way too many to count but other than that I actually liked the storyline.
I enjoyed this book just the right amount of crazy. I can not wait to read part 2. I like how the important character each had a voice throughout the story.
