When it was first released in Europe, L’Effroyable Mensonge sold over 200,000 copies in France and became an instant bestseller. In his follow-up book Pentagate, Thierry Meyssan elaborates on what he believes are serious inconsistencies between observations of the damage to the Pentagon and the official explanation of what happened there. In fact, he questions such basic elements as whether or not the Pentagon was hit by a plane at all. In reality, Meyssan argues that the Pentagon was the target of a guided missile, fired on as the result of a right-wing conspiracy within the United States government. The evidence that supports the author’s arguments includes eyewitness accounts and commentary by a military authority on explosives. However, most of the narrative consists of the author’s own analyses of the reports by politicians and journalists as well as film footage of the sites. Photos are included in both books.
In 1994, Meyssan became a staff member of the Radical Party of the Left and campaiged for Bernard Tapie Christiane Taubira. In the same year he founded the Voltaire Network.
From 1996 - 1999 he worked as substitute coordinator of the National Committee of Surveillance against the extreme right
In 2002 hecpublished a book claiming the 9/11 attacks were organized by a faction of the US military–industrial complex.
No comment! Just go for this read and see how the world is being ruled! One more thing, It reminds me of a sentence by Oriana Falachi in " An interview with history" where she says: Politicians are not smart at all, on the contrary to the commonly held assumption!
ONE OF THE EARLIEST 9/11 "TRUTHERS" LOOKS IN DETAIL AT THE PENTAGON ATTACK
Thierry Meyssan (born 1957) is a French journalist and political activist, who has investigated the extreme right-wing, as well as the Catholic Church (e.g., Opus Dei). He has also written the earlier book '9/11 - The Big Lie.'
He wrote in the Introduction to this 2002 book, "'The Big Lie' contented itself with pointing out the physical impossibility of the crash of a Boeing 757 of the Pentagon without explaining the exact nature of the attack. It drew no political interpretation from the facts... we continued our investigations. The elements that we present today are... a complimentary study of the attack on the Pentagon and the manner in which we have been misled by the communications services of the Department of Defense."
He cautions concerning the testimony of witnesses, "a witness will tend to align him or herself with the implicated social group of which he or she feels representative... Consciously or not, voluntarily or not, witnesses always have a propensity to construct a version of events that corresponds with their social role." (Pg. 42-43)
He concludes, "This photo, and the effects described in the official version, lead me therefore to think that the detonation that struck the building was that of a high-powered hollow charge used to destroy hardened buildings and carried by an aerial vehicle, a missile." (Pg. 85-86)
Later, he adds, "Can one affirm that it was in fact American Airlines flight 77 that hit the Pentagon? Only if one has blind faith in the army of the United States of America." (Pg. 104) He asserts about the military, "To each question raised, they... have to answer with: technical failure, coordination problems, temporary incapacity, transfer of responsibility, absence of commanders, etc. In the end, the greatest army in the world is obliged to confess that it's also the most incompetent." (Pg. 122)
Meyssan's book (which contains an excellent selection of photos), whether one agrees or not, is perhaps the most in-depth treatment of the attack on the Pentagon, and is thus crucial for anyone interested in 9/11.
