Follow a cargo train crew as they load up, travel across the country and unload. With wonderful illustrations, bright vibrant colors, and the specific word selection to be a level 1 reader, this book will be fun and exciting to read. All of the books in this series are great, but what little child, at some point, is not fascinated with trains?

The Leveled readers are great books for young children. There are hundreds of titles in these formats, even across different publishers. What makes this particular series, The Lego City Adventures, so good is that little boys will be attracted to them because of the format and styles of both the stories and artwork. They are bright, vibrant, colorful stories with fun illustrations. I can see young boys trying to make the scenes with Lego to act out from the books. As a Level 1 reader geared for Kindergarten to Grade 1, this book is intended to help with sight word recognition, sounding out simple words and sentences.

This was a super easy read for k-2nd grade. The sentences are very simple allowing students to read this book as a quick read to work on fluency rather than learning new words. The pictures are engaging and if the child likes LEGOs then they'll love the animation with the LEGO pieces.

It's a Lego book... another one. (POV of a mom.) My 3 kids enjoyed reading this book. This is an AR book and good for early readers.

We ordered a lot of these books from the series for our library's collection. I am slightly disappointed in them. I thought the illustrations would be made of real legos, not computer graphics. The story lines are just so so. I wish the illustrators had been more creative and thoughtful. The great thing about legos is your taking solid shapes and building structures with them. It is a form of architectural art that kids really love. However these are simple computer graphics and the story lines are simplistic and unimpressive.

Quick read. Interesting pictures. It will be perfect when the kids start to read on their own.
