Or a spiteful hoax? Unable to resist the mysterious invitation, the locals arrive at Little Paddocks at the appointed time when, without warning, the lights go out and a gun is fired. When they come back on, a gruesome scene is revealed. An impossible crime? Only Miss Marple can unravel it.

There are two stories in this book, but I only have finished Murder on Orient Express.
I am buddy reading with a friend, and it was sooo much fun!

I am not gonna say much. But Agatha is GENIUS.
Murder on Orient Express is another brilliant story from her.
It is thoughtfully and beautifully crafted.
Oh.. and I LOVE POIROT.

I really want to watch the movie when it came out! <3

As I have already read Murder on the Orient Express, I only read A Murder is Annouced. Truthfully, these stories hit different without Poirot and I think that was my main reason for not liking it as much as other Agatha Christie novels. Miss Marple was sharp and quick witted but overall, I missed the snark and the humor that Poirot brings.

Note to self: have only read Murder on the Orient Express, not A Murder Is Announced.
