Rigby S Star.
Objective: To use context, grammar and letter knowledge.

A traditional tale about a man who likes to play tricks and how using a few stones, he manages to get all the ingredients for a soup from a village for free. In addition to reading the words, this book is good for testing comprehension. My little one didn't get the trick and that the man wasn't a good person.

3 stars.

A cute, clever little story about how to outwit someone to get what you really want. Hopefully, it doesn't give smart little kids even smarter ideas.

A man and his hours came into town to convince the town people that he could make stone soup. Although the town doesn’t believe him he holds there attention through out the process of making this special stone soup.

I thought this book was kinda silly. It was definitely a quick read.

I would give this book to a student who is a struggling reader. Since it’s a short book I feel like any student can feel accomplished when they complete it. The book is also based off a traditional Sweden tale, it might bring interest to a student who who likes to read about myths, short stories, or Tales.
