Snowed in with a billionaire! A fun contemporary romance novel brimming with secrets, witty banter, and surprising twists.
The last thing wealthy photographer James Bradburn expects when he turns in after his surprise birthday party is to find a beautiful woman asleep in his bed. The last thing Leah Harmony expects after succumbing to exhaustion during the party is to find herself stranded with the yummy birthday boy at his isolated Gold Coast mansion. A record blizzard has trapped them together for days on end.
Leah guards a stunning secret as she struggles to resist their mutual attraction. Of all the men in the world, James is the last one she should even think of that way! Little does she suspect he harbors a secret of his own.
Pamela Burford comes from a funny family. You may take that any way you want. She was raised in a household that valued laughter above all, so of course the first thing she looked for in a husband was a sense of humor. Is it any wonder their grown kids are into stand-up comedy and improv? Oh, and here's another fun family fact: Pamela's identical twin sister, Patricia Ryan, aka P.B. Ryan, is also a published novelist. Patricia is the Good Twin, and yeah, Pamela knows what that makes her. But hey, Evil Twins have more fun.
It should come as no surprise that everything Pamela writes is infused with her own quirky brand of humor, from her feel-good contemporary romance and romantic suspense novels to her popular Jane Delaney mystery series, featuring snarky “Death Diva” Jane, her canine sidekick Sexy Beast, and a fun love triangle. Pamela's own beloved poodle, Murray, wants you to know that any similarities between himself and neurotic, high-strung Sexy Beast are purely coincidental.

4 **** I absolutely love Leah and James! They keep up a lively banter throughout this brief stuck indoors during a snowstorm novel and their sexual chemistry just sizzles. And despite the odds against them, they really do deserve an HEA.
Despite its brevity, the book has a definite beginning, middle and end, however abrupt that ending is. I feel strongly there is much more to be written: more POV switching, more flashbacks, more foreplay, duringplay and postplay.
And seriously, Leah and James really do deserve an epilogue! Which could be added easily enough, no? That's me being selfish. In this case, a bit more would be better.
Leah is snowed in with James - but the twist here is,
So - they hook up, she has to go home to take care of business, finds out he has serious trust issues and wants nothing but honesty in his life and she's been lying to him since they met, since the reason she's at his house to confront the man she now knows is his father, and she never tells James.
Decent story. Liked almost everything about it (except why do characters feel the need to hide stuff throughout the book. Like that ever turns out well). Anyway, I did enjoy this book even if it was all a bit predictable (which is why it gets 3 stars).
I loved both characters (except when they were hiding their secrets)and the story was pretty engaging. I wish we would have gotten more. I felt like the ending was kind of missing from the book, but I'm a girl who is used to some sort of an epilogue to tell me what happens or even a series that lets me see the characters again.
I had zero expectations but it was a pleasant surprise. I found Leah's character annoying most of the time but the plot was interesting enough to catch my attention
I love this story. The characters, the plot, the writing. Everything. I was completely blown away by this book. It wasn't what I was expecting at all. I picked it up expecting a short erotica or something, but what I got was a deeply moving story that had me sighing, laughing, crying, giggling, and grinning like a doofus at every turn. Seriously… my cheeks hurt.
I normally dislike reading about characters under the age of 25, but Leah was a joy to read. She was mature, articulate, educated, compassionate. I could go on and on. James is charming, funny, caring, and, of course, yummy. He's also a very prideful man. Their sarcastic banter was great. There were times though, that the intimate moments were so personal that I felt like a voyeur or something. The chemistry between James and Leah is definitely palpable.
Overall I am so happy I grabbed this book. It was a fast-paced read that as soon as I was done, I wanted to go back to page 1 and start all over again. I loved this story so much. I do wish we had gotten James side of the story more, but I'm okay with this. I highly recommend.
I personally thought the book was kinda creepy. Ewww. I did finish it, but it was painful. Extremely painful. All I kept thinking was "she thinks they're half siblings and she is still in love with him?" The whole thing just weirded me out.
this was a good book. A quick read. Characters could have had a bit more depth to them but that didn't hurt the storyline. I enjoyed the chemistry between Leah and James. Just was left wishing you could have gotten a bit more information about them - backstory could have been more developed. It did have plot twists and turns that I could predict but then had me guessing if I was right.
good book, at first I thought it was going to be incest so I was going to give up on it but the reviews swayed my decision. I'm glad I finished it. interesting characters. I like having an idea of how things will go but when it actually plays out it turns out way better than even imagined. good author too.
Free nook book. The plot was based around secrets of incest... But we knew they weren't really, right? Still creepy to have to consider. Otherwise it was okay but couldn't get past the fact that Leah believed it was possible.

Okay Leah and James are half-siblings. Leah knows this and keeps thinking how handsome he is. I kept thinking she would tell him but when I got to them kissing and James feeling her up and she still didn't tell him, I gave up. Disgusting!!!!!
This was a little different than your normal 'snowed in together' romance. Both James and Leah have secrets, and until the truth comes out between them, they can never be happy. There was just enough mystery to keep you guessing how they would work things out. I would read more from this author.
2.5 I had the same problem another reader mentioned. In the beginning, the brother thing... Yeahhh. I had a bit of an eww moment, even if I already knew how it would turn out in the end.
couldnt had atleast a few more chapters about them telling everyone and their life after everything, just a little epiloge would of made my freaking day!
This was a very predictable story......at first. Then it left me wondering. Perhaps this book is taboo? But then, thankfully it wasn't, lol. I really did like Leah and James. They were a good fit.
So Leah and James are half-siblings. Leah knows this and keeps going?! No thank you, I don't do incest, I can't imagine how anyone could keep reading and fine it "good". On to a different book....
Snowed by Pamela Burford was very well written, easy to read. Never got lost as to what was happening. Kept my attention and at times it was hard to put down.
Throughout a whirlwind of emotions and shocks, this turned out to be a very cute book. I think I would have liked a bit more of a reunion period, the ending seemed a little too quick and easy. I also would have liked to see Douglas and Merl's reactions to all the revelations that were in store for them. All in all, it was a good romance with some twists and turns that will have the reader on their toes.
