This was so ridiculous, I laughed like crazy at some parts, and some were so kinky that I still laughed at them ahahahhahahhaha

So even though I can't say this is brilliant, I had huge fun with it :D

I rarely read historicals and boy, this book showed me some of what I'm missing! The idea of a highwayman is entirely too sexy and dangerous to this contemporary girl and Jack definitely fulfilled upon that initial promise. Will definitely be reading more from this author!

Jack Badcock, seorang earl, ingin mengakhiri hura-hura petualangannya sbg playboy dengan seorang istri orang. Namun Jack mengalami kesalahan dengan salah menculik orang, eh malah menculik tunangan Lord Wisbech yaitu Sophia. Sophia yg jengkel pada tunangannya (krn lebih memilih cincin keluarganya ketimbang dirinya) akhirnya bersedia aja diculik oleh Jack. Jack yg masih blm menyadari kekeliruan salah culiknya, membawa Sophia ke rumahnya dan menyekap gadis ini selama 2 hari untuk diehem-ehemi.
Dan Lady Huntingdon, wanita yg seharusnya diculik, murka karena Jack keliru menculik wanita lain,kasian deh loe!!! mulai merencanakan pembalasan dendam terhadap Jack.
Jack yg msh bego, setelah 2 hari puas "menyantap" Sophia, memulangkan Sophia (tanpa masih tidak mengetahui identitas Sophia). Hal ini mulai menyebabkan skandal. Lord Wisbech malu karena tunangannya sudah tercemar, namun Lord Wisbech tetap bersedia akan menjadi suami Sophia stl orangtua Sophia menaikkan maskawinnya. Dasar cowq matre..
Di suatu pesta, barulah si Jack bertemu dengan Sophia dan menyadari bahwa dia menculik seorang perawan. Dasar playboy gila, dia menyelinap ke kamar Sophia, dan..... after making-love, meminta Sophia menjadi.... mistress nya. Tentu saja usulan egois dari si Badcock (karena baik Jack maupun Sophia sudah bertunangan) ditolak oleh si Sophia.
Lady Huntingdon yg msh dendam, mengundang Sophia utk datang ke rumahnya. Sophia yg tau ada niat jahat terselubung, sebenarnya udah ogah banget memenuhi undangan tsb, namun ibunya bersikeras dia hrs datang. Ternyata stl itu Sophia dan lady-lady yang lain dibawa ke rumah si Badcock. Disana Sophia yg menyelinap bersama Jack, mengungkapkan "I love you" kepada Jack.
Ternyata ucapan Sophia menyebabkan Jack terngiang-ngiang sehingga pada saat Sophia akan menikah pada hari itu, Jack menculik kembali gadis ini didepan hidung orangtua Sophia dan mereka bersenang-senang di gubuk di hutan selama 2 hari lagi
Lord Wisbech kali ini benar-benar murka. Dipermalukan utk kedua kalinya maka dia memutuskan utk membunuh Sophia. Dan Wisbech beruntung karena Jack sedang berpapasan dgnnya dan ditembaklah si Jack.

Sophia yg ditinggalkan sementara oleh Jack, dan dibekali oleh pistol Jack, tidak menyana Wisbech mengetahui persembunyiannya. Wisbech bertekad utk membunuh Sophia, namun ingin memperkosa dulu dan nahaslah nasibnya. Pada saat dia bergumul, Jack tiba2 datang dan doooorrr... matilah si Wisbech.

Sophia yg melihat Jack luka parah, buru-buru membawa Jack kembali ke rumahnya dengan membawa kuda Jack yang juga sekarat. Untunglah pada saat si kuda menghembuskan napas terakhirnya mereka sudah tiba di rumah. Dan sial bagi Sophia, tunangan Jack sudah tiba di rumah Jack. Jack yang sakit parah terus mengigau memanggil Sophia. Akhirnya tunangan Jack memanggil Sophia utk merawat Jack. Dan pada saat Jack akhirnya sadar, Sophia pun undur diri. Dan Sophia yang menyadari dirinya tidak akan menjadi istri Jack tiba-tiba terkejut setengah mati oleh iring2an kuda si tunangan Jack meninggalkan tempat tinggal Jack. Sophia mengira Jack sudah mati. Namun ketika kemudian Sophia menyerbu masuk ke kamar Jack dan mendapati sang kekasih sedang tersenyum hangat dan melamar dirinya. Sophia merasakan kebahagiaannya komplit-plit...

Gw bisa saja memberikan 5 bintang, namun too bad adegan Ml nya banyak spanking-nya jadi gw kurang suka (kan sakit dipukul terus...) terus ada adegan pake dildo (zaman HR gitu lohhh) jadi yaaah cukup 4 bintang saja.

Nahhh... klo si Jack tampangnya ky gini... mau bangetttt!!!

Sophia Astley was about to start a life with a man that she was certain wasn't going to be what she craved. Wanting a more physical engagement, Sophia wanted Ralph Crichton, Duke of Wisbech, to show more emotion. Ralph didn't know what had gotten into his wife-to-be Sophia, but he will refuse to let her become a harlot and embarrass him.

Jack Badcock was a man with a past. People talked about all the escapades of his youth, and to tell the truth, they didn't lie about him. Dressed as a highwayman, Jack kidnapped Sophia thinking that she was another woman. Even though he told himself she was who he thought, things didn't add up. Taken into the woods to a cottage, he taught Sophia everything she craved. The sex was rough and Sophia enjoyed every minute of the spankings especially. For a maiden she wasn't shy; however she was apprehensive about some of the things he asked, or better yet demanded of her. It was the best two days of captivity she could dream of.

Sophia knew what was expected of her even though she knew marriage to Ralph wasn't what she wanted or craved, it was her duty. Jack wasn't willing to give up his agreement for marriage, but he wanted Sophia to be his mistress and on her wedding day a second kidnapping occurred. Sophia, by her wedding day, was willing to agree to anything that Jack wanted to get out of this arranged marriage.

Sexual tension builds between the two lovers but the danger outside their cabin still exists, and until they both were attacked and almost killed did Jack realize that nothing was worse than losing Sophia. Sophia realized that whatever Jack offered was enough just to be together.

This story contains intense sex scenes with several toys in play. Exotic sex scenes were performed that had you holding your breath and thinking that maybe you were missing something. Love, sex, and danger are a great mix in this story.

I Wish this book was longer i loved both characters Sophia was just such a sweet curious, she is engadged to Ralph (Booooo Ralph is a coward who is hijacked by a masked man who takes Sophia but befor he does he Gives Ralph the choice ealther he takes his fiancé of the ring Ralph decides to trades her for an heirloom ring. Whhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhat ON NO HE DIDN'T (FINGER SNAP).

any whoooooo she is Taken by the Hijacker is name is JACK BACCOCK <-------- the name says it all ahhhhhh who basicaly had his way with her ( thinking she was someone else) but sophia willingly does what he asks of her.

so to sum it up this was not a bad little story my first historical book and to be honest it was not bad it was funny and sweet only wish it was longer

A really sexy, fun read of mistaken identity that leads to more than they ever believed possible. I like seeing the villains get theirs and I really enjoy seeing adults enjoy their sex life and not take it for granted.

Ceritanya lebih berkonflik di banding yg . Ada pihak kedua dan ketiga yg berperan jadi antagonis disini..

Ceritanya di awali dengan salah sasaran.. Jack Badcock (gw kaget namanya beneran badcock) berlaku sebagai perampok yg kemudian harus menculik seorang Lady untuk melengkapi kontraknya dia dengan seorang Countess German yg akan menjadi tunangannya..

Masalahnya.. dia salah culik disini.. yg dia culik adalah Sophia.. yg mana sudah punya Tunangan lain.. hadeehhh...

Salah culik sih salah culik... kagak konfirmasi dulu.. maen sosor ajah.. halaah... hahhha...

ada adegan tembak-tembakan disini... belakangan... makanya dapat di katakan bagian serunya itu ada di tengah menjelang belakang.. walopun Sex Scene nya udah ada dari awal... hahhha

lumayan lah... yg ini di jamin ga ada Sum-sum.an juga...

I give this story a 3 1/2 stars. Its a unique plot but just didn't like many of the characters. I had a hard time with the powerlessness of the heroine's situation. I kept thinking she should just kill herself because she was utterly trapped. She was surrounded by horrible human beings. So that said, I can't fault her too much for being such a spiritless doormat.

To make matters worse, our hero did not feel very heroic to me. I found him to be selfish and arrogant. I get that he was in a pickle with his commitments but his attitude and thought process was so misogynistic. Plus he wasn't all that sexy to me. He just wanted to get laid over and over again. There was a lot of naughty in this story but it lacked in luster so I ended up skimming through all the parts where they mentioned his big ... entering her creamy... I kept thinking that she was going to get a bladder infection if not hepatitis from there sex-fests at the cabin.

It was a quick read and wasn't horrible. Just wished it had taken a slightly different tone.

I haven't read a lot of erotic historicals. Not because I don't enjoy historicals (they are my fav!), but because I always hesitate that either the historical elements will override the erotic, or vice versa. Debra Glass has hit the perfect balance with Badcock. I hated having to put the book down! (stupid real life)

Jack's character is to die for. Sophia was innocent without being annoying on vapid. The choices they were both faced with were believable and heartbreaking.

I can't recommend this book enough!

Salah culik..ya kasian banget nasib Sophia, Jack terkenal sebagai Rake nyamar jadi perampok utk bersandiwara menculik istri seorang gentlemen yang doyan selingkuh. Wah alhasil salah culik ke sophia yang punya ciri2 fisik termasuk warna rambut yang sama. Disini lah ceritanya dimulai. Wah hot sangat, tapi punya cerita bagus..kasian banget sama Sophia yang nama baiknya hampir tercemar sekaligus kesel kok mau aja ditawarin jadi mistress nya Jack, sekaligus mau Hammer si Jack seenaknya aja seorang lady mau dijadiin simpenannya...wakakaka kalo ngk udah bintang lima nih..

As always, I loved this latest release from Debra Glass, and highly recommend anything she writes. :) This one is about a highwayman who kidnaps a society lass, and uses her for a night of passion. The society lass minds, and then, due to her really worthless fiancé, might not be so against a reason to break off the engagement.

Humm... I can't really call this a romance thought I'm sure that it is considered one of sorts. And while it's on the erotic side it was also fairly tame. I was a bit disappointed with how this book went, and there isn't much to say with out giving away the whole of it. In the end I'm giving this a 2.5

Unlike other Debra Glass books, I don't really enjoyed this story. It is full of anguish, betrayal and hopelessness that the ending seems a bit shallow for me. Sophia changes from virgin to spank-me wanton, and Jack is like the everedy battery. The ending for the villains are not enough to quench my anger toward them. Anyway some of the scenes are definitely hit but others are too much for me.

All of this author's books are hot and "Badcock" is no exception. It's not great literature, so if you're looking for political and social commentary, then go read "War and Peace". If, however, you want lots of hot intercourse, dirty talk, and creative sex scenes, you've come to the right place.

Just like the only other historical book i've read i enjoyed the sex, but that was about it. I just can't relate to books set this far back in the past. So yeah. It wasn't a complete nightmare to read. The plot was somewhat interesting.
